Which age did you feel the most beautiful?

feeling very depressed after my relationship broke down (I’m 35 and feel past my prime)

I was at my most conventionally beautiful age about 27/28.

It really isn’t that big a deal though is it? To caveat, I have always been considered very attractive so maybe that’s why I don’t think about it much? It doesn’t hold much weight or value to me.

When did I feel most confident or most happy? That’s a much better question. Mid fifties onwards. Post menopausal and don’t give a fuck.

I always thought that women who were considered attractive generally struggle with aging?

Yes I know what you mean @Riooo. I think I had so many other things to be insecure about (arising from shit abusive childhood) that my appearance was the thing I took for granted. I knew I had to work on All the Other Stuff.

Sorry, I am probably not explaining myself very well.

I have always been considered attractive. I don’t struggle with ageing. Partly because i think am still attractive as I age 🤷🏻‍♀️, and partly because, well, it’s inevitable isn’t it? Unless you die young, and that’s not a preferable alternative for me.

I have always been unattractive but if I had to name an age, I'd say 19-21 was when I was at my least hideous.

Urgh, there is nothing as ugly as caring about whether you are beautiful. Try being kind, compassionate, helpful and thinking of others instead of worrying about what your face looks like. Then you will always be beautiful.

You can be all those things at the same time you know.

I don’t fully understand

Always been beautiful- got it from my mama.

When I hit 40 though, I took on a whole new glow. Dunno how or why, but I've embraced it fully.

My mom's now 67 and my daughter says (based on photographs) she looks like she stopped aging at 45, so I'm keeping everything crossed for the same good fortune 🤞🏾.

I remember hearing the Agony Aunt, Anna Raeburn saying 'it's not how you look, it's how you made them feel'.

HeddaGarbled · 25/06/2025 19:46

One of the benefits of being over 60 is that those of us who were never beautiful can look reasonably decent for our age without too much effort. So, I’ll go with over 60 (though beautiful is a bit of a stretch).
