I read about a couple who claimed to be breatharians.

When you read the article they said "we dont eat or drink anything. We survibe purely on air."
Then later in the article "we will have a glass of water when we wake up and before bed"
then later again "if our energy flags we will have bovrill"
and "once a week we will have 2 bowls of weak soup".

In other words, they were just malnourished but weirdly I do think they really believed they were surviving on air.

I read an article years ago about a supposed breatharian. It was clear she had MH issues. She was also deluding herself. She said stuff such as that from time to time she would have something like a chocolate biscuit for the "explosion of taste" . It was clear that she was eating far more than she believed she was.

I remember reading about her at the time - far from having nothing but air she admitted to having some water, tea and a few biscuits or some such rubbish!

Just googled and she is still out there writing and lecturing and going to conferences. **I am trying to work out if she still claims to live on air.

I read about a breatharian who used to go out into the dessert to absorb energy from the sun. Apparently the best way to get it inside you is to go somewhere remote, take your kit off, bend over and point your chocolate starfish at the sun. Like a solar ray suppository.

Sounds like this chap needs help.
i work in mental health and have seen patients who have an eating disorder cover it up with similar explanations, he could be lying or he could be developing delusional beliefs around this that could be very dangerous, I would monitor, speak to your boss if you have concerns.
