People who start their Wordle with a vowely word like audio or alien are wrong

Okay, so you've found out that your word has vowels. Well done. That narrows it down to just about every word.

I think a much better strategy is to start with lots of consonants, and especially consonants that can be used in consonant blends (like R or L) or digraphs (like C or H).

Vowels are less useful than consonants.

I start with adieu, then story to get the vowelly sounds out of the way and a couple of frequent consonants, if stuck then I’d go with champ, chimp, chomp or chump, then blank or blink if still stuck for word 4. I’ve tried other methods but haven’t been successful with them!

I've been on Mnet for far too long so always start with argue, followed by idiot. I got it in three this morning.

Not adhering to some random person's idea does not make one 'wrong'! I use a 'vowely' word, did today's in 2 goes and I bet a lot of people did too!

I occasionally use PIOUS, on the day it was the answer, I didn't and was irrationally angry with myself!

I use canoe. It’s like lottery numbers though-I daren’t change in case canoe is the word!

My friend has only ever done Wordle once. She was sitting at my table, saw an olive, used it and was right. She never tried again!

I start with "ample." I used to start with "amble," but it was the word a couple months back.

I read an article that suggested the best word to start with is "soare."

I start with random words, don't repeat. I got two right first time in one week😯

I'm afraid you're too late - it has already been the word! As have most of the starter words other people have mentioned. But as a PP, said getting it first time is luck rather than skill. I'm sticking with ORATE until it comes up.

I often play using rude words or swear words only. That keeps it fun.

I always start with the same three words, that have no letters in common. It does mean I almost never get it in less than four though!

Everyone knows the three top words are stare, cloud, pinky.

My 3 words use an h rather than a k. K is much less frequently useful to know about.

It's boring to start with the same word everyday.

I do the Wordle, Octordle Extreme and Hardle every day and I always start with PAINT and ROUSE. I'm 100% about consistency. I admire all the free spirits who pick a random word every day, but I like all the vowels and the most common consonants out there quickly.

I'm a Sedecordle girl and I always start with 3 words that cover all vowels and most of the common consonants. I do think vowels are more important, though.

I find these kind of games more frustrating since they've become Americanised due to the different spelling.

My fave is still Nerdle, to be honest.

Yeast is my first word choice.
