Naked bike ride

Was in London yesterday: naked bike ride. Fine.. not my thing (or many other women). They finished the ride/protest/whatvever and then conjugated near B palace.. and just seemed to be happy wafting their micro penis’s about for kicks and giggles/

A lot of horrid middle aged naked men kicking about just felt unnecessary.

and 🤮

please don’t speak for “many other women” to “validate your take on it. Not your thing? Fine :)

This is my point. We have no way of knowing either way. And as indecent exposure is a serious crime that can escalate to murder (it’s a known pathway) do you think it is sensible to make it harder to prosecute by normalising public male nudity?

But cycling in the nude in a planned event... that has got the ok from the police, is not indecent exposure.
No one can really see your genitals on a bike... your legs are in the way!

So these legal bike rides should be women only? Can you not see how that would be a problem too?

DoctorRoseReturns · 16/06/2025 23:14

BundleBoogie · 16/06/2025 22:54

You keep throwing up these utterly irrelevant ‘facts’. SA survivors who are not bothered by male nudity are obviously not relevant to this conversation. There isn’t a SA survivor vote on the consensus of whether they are allowed to find male nudity triggering or not.

Some SA survivors are triggered by male nudity. What about their feelings? This public display of male nudity is totally optional and unnecessary. It is a pastime. But you have already confirmed you don’t care about those women. I’m not sure why you insist on reiterating that.

And yes I know that women are nudists too but a) they don’t have a penis and b) despite your unevidenced claims to the contrary are rarely perpetrators of sexual assault.

You're using "SA survivors might be offended" and ignoring that some SA survivors aren't offended and don't see a problem.

You have decided to speak for a whole group of people and ignore their feelings

I never said I don't care. Unfortunately, though, we get exposed to triggers every day. Dealing with them is down to us and not for society to police each other over

It's why we have trigger warnings and don't ban all media from including topics for example

Or why people will simply take themselves out of a situation rather than demand everyone bend to them (which MN is usually very against)

DoctorRoseReturns · 16/06/2025 23:16

BundleBoogie · 16/06/2025 22:59

So you didn’t understand my comment.

I’m not suggesting that a wide range of random things be banned, just public (and totally unnecessary) male nudity. Why is that so hard for you?

Plenty of unnecessary things are triggers though

That's my point

It’s one thing to get therapy for your spider phobia.

It’s another to suggest that SA survivors should find a way to be okay with naked male strangers parading in front of them when they don’t want them to.

TheScentOfElonMusk · 16/06/2025 23:03

I haven’t shut it down? You’re still arguing for people to be able to be naked in front of children in public. I’m not stopping you.

You are trying to make it sound like I am some threat to children by banging on about "think of the children" like I'm saying people should be allowed to go and wiggle their naked bodies in front of children

Rather than just existing as people who happen to also be naked

There's nothing inherently sexual about a naked body

The events are publicised. It is one day, once a year, on a specific route. They can be avoided. Your triggers are your responsibly.

Then they can go somewhere else. I see “parading” has now made an appearance, doubtless “swanning” will join it soon.

I didn't mention phobias

I said Triggers

There are SA survivors who will not be triggered by male nudity but might be triggered by Lynx Africa because it's what their abuser was wearing or triggered by a picture of Britney Spears because it's what hung on their wall over their abusers shoulder and was all they could see

You are trying to talk for all survivors and choosing to ignore that they don't want you to and don't all feel the same

Well, that is what you’re saying. You just don’t like how it sounds when someone else says it back to you.

You are deliberately picking more and more emotive and intense language to make the situation sound far worse and completely different

Lynx Africa may be specific to one individual.

The common denominator across - as we now know, 98% of all sexual assaults - is men. Therefore naked men will be a universal ‘trigger’, to use your word, or ‘threat’ to use mine.

But it's NOT a universal trigger and you are still insisting on trying to talk for all survivors when quite clearly in this thread there are survivors talking about themselves and expressing no issue with it!

What is so bad about a middle aged women's tits being seen by a child? Because that is what is on display on these bike rides. It is not just little willies and big bellies on men.

OK because you seem to be quite dense about this:

It is ok for people to be naked in public IF they are just going about their daily business and not doing anything offensive. Yes, there may be children who see them but they aren't drawing attention to themselves.
Being naked is not inherently sexual or offensive.

People going up to children and waving their private parts in their faces, jumping out of bushes to expose their naked bodies, hiding behind a door so someone opens it and finds them naked, standing in a playground with their arms out, waggling their bits... all NOT ok

Want to try and stop calling me a child abuser now?

But only teh mens are a problem don't ya know?

That's why posters are having to resort to more and more emotive language to try and make themselves look morally superior and try and discredit those who disagree with them

Yeah, never mind that half the children seeing these out of control cocks in public have one themselves.

cryptide · 16/06/2025 23:47

How many are committed by men on naked bike rides?

What a vile thing to say.

And what an unsurprising turn for this thread to take. That a poster advocating for public nudity in front of children would introduce the idea of children’s genitalia when addressing someone they see as like-minded.

As it's very easy indeed for anyone who is triggered by this to avoid naked bike rides, there is no need for them to find a way to be okay with them.

Haha, vile?
If you are sending out the message that it is somehow harmful for males to be naked in public that are taking part in a legal activity. Then what messages are you sending little boys? That they have to hide in shame forever?
It is bad for them to use their penis as a weapon... but during an event when everyone is naked and just... cycling... come on!

It's a case of "if I keep escalating my comments and make further accusations then they will eventually shut up because I will have made them look like something they aren't"

In this case "I will keep making stronger and stronger insinuations that these people are pedophiles until they stop arguing and then I can claim a moral victory"
