Yellow Gold or White Gold

I think yellow gold is pretty and is beautiful metal for a wedding ring

YANBU Yellow (or rose)
YABU White (or platinum)

Why does he get a say in what your engagement ring is made of? I only wear yellow gold because I prefer it and it suits my skin tone better.

DH knew this and chose a yellow gold and diamond engagement ring for me because he loves me and wanted to choose something I'd like. He doesn't wear yellow gold so his wedding ring is platinum. We both got what we liked and everyone's happy.

If you say to your partner that you wear yellow gold jewellery, prefer yellow gold jewellery and would want a yellow gold engagement ring and then he buys you white gold or tries to change your mind then I genuinely wouldn't marry him because it sounds like the tip of an extremely controlling iceberg.

Why wouldn't he want you to have the ring you prefer to wear every day. If you can't honestly express a preference about this without him being upset then that is a worry. Personally I am back round to preferring yellow gold.
