This isn’t a question for those who are t/total/don’t drink at all, because obviously it’s an irrelevant question as your body doesn’t process alcohol, so the answers will be completely moot

Anyone else crack away….

Would it make you feel drunk, a bit tipsy, totally tipsy, totally fine…

Say over about 3 hours

I could be a bit merry but perfectly with it, or I could be drunk enough not to remember how I got home.

Mrsmouse71 · 12/06/2025 23:18

10 units over 3 hours, be like drinking pop

Peclet · 12/06/2025 23:20

Drunk and feeling hellish the next day.

toastandegg · 12/06/2025 23:22

I would feel fine over 3 hours if I had eaten

KickHimInTheCrotch · 12/06/2025 23:24

I'd find it hard to drink that much due to needing the toilet all the time and it's just a lot of liquid to knock back in one session. But I do occasionally have that much if I get carried away on after work drinks or a camping weekend. Generally feel OK; bit tipsy and hungry. But I don't sleep great after drinking so the next day I'd be awake early and feeling the effects by lunchtime.

Flutterbees · 12/06/2025 23:25

Very drunk and would end up with a hella hangover!

Bunny44 · 12/06/2025 23:27

I feel tipsy one let alone 5... I'd probably be very drunk. I drink a few times a week on average but one one drink.

DontTouchRoach · 12/06/2025 23:32

After 10 units in three hours I’d be a bit tipsy but not hammered and I wouldn’t be hungover the next day.

I’ve always had quite a high tolerance for alcohol though. I don’t know why.

comfyshoes2022 · 12/06/2025 23:39

Extremely drunk

Iwrotethelyricstoaxlf · 12/06/2025 23:43

10 units of cider, black out drunk

10 units of lager, just getting warmed up.

hellywelly3 · 12/06/2025 23:49

Lager I’d feel it and say I’m drunk but not ill with it and wouldn’t expect a hangover, same with spirit and mixer. But wine! I’d be on my back.

DancyNancy · 12/06/2025 23:51

Saz12 · 12/06/2025 23:11

10 units, so just less than a bottle of wine. I'd be pretty hammered, able to get myself to bed but we'll beyond tipsy.

I think a bottle of wine (700ml) is 7 units (In ROI anyway, UK units may get different)

TheSilentSister · 12/06/2025 23:56

So pissed I can't remember the question, lol

kittenkipping · 13/06/2025 00:03

Three large glasses of wine? Tipsy. In beer or lager? Drunk. Good gin two doubles? I’d not drive (I won’t drive after any alcohol )but I’d be completely in control.

cimena · 13/06/2025 00:08

Bottle of wine, drunk but not DRUNK drunk. Would notice it the next day but wouldn’t be hiding in the bed wailing.

Five pints dicier, proper drunk, potential for saying something indiscreet but again would survive it, with some regrets.

feel like five double rum and cokes and I’d be ready to go dancing but it’s years since I’ve done that much spirits so maybe not

FutureCatMum · 13/06/2025 08:25

With food I’d be chatty and a bit giddy on beer. Obviously not safe to drive. On wine I’d be visibly drunk and wanting to go home.

LittleBearPad · 13/06/2025 08:27

With food fine.
without food tipsy.

EveryDayisFriday · 13/06/2025 08:32

According to Google it's 3.5 pints of 5% cider. I do usually drink cider when out but 3 pints plus is getting into drunk territory.

mummysmagicmedicine · 13/06/2025 08:34

Absolutely battered

Mightyhike · 13/06/2025 08:35

With a meal - tipsy, heading towards drunk
Without a meal - very drunk

Nurseryquestions86 · 13/06/2025 08:36

Happy

Sparrow7 · 13/06/2025 08:39

I like a drink and drink every weekend. I would be drunk on this, especially in 3 hours. Even if I'd had a big meal first.

crackofdoom · 13/06/2025 08:41

What's the actual difference between tipsy and drunk?

Anyway, to echo a previous PP, I'd be drunk but not DRUNK drunk. Providing I'd drunk enough water alongside it, I'd be fine with getting on with things the next day.

SushiDisco · 13/06/2025 08:41

I’d be drunk. Probably to the point of making a fool of myself😂

LizGrant · 13/06/2025 08:45

It seems to vary wildly now I'm older. It could be anything from tipsy to proper drunk. Either way I'd feel shit the next day.
