I recently had my nails done and I’m in actual love with them. Can you be so in love with your own nails that you want to just stare at them forever and ever? So show me your nails now or your best nails! I told my nail tech to go ‘retro’ and that she did!!

Went to a birthday party yesterday so treated myself to sparkly nails!! My own natural nails with shellac.

Mine are plain pink at the moment but these are the ones I had for Disney last week.
my engagement ring is also annoyingly wonky in the photo.

I work with food and can’t have nails done sadly, very envious of all the gorgeous nails on here 😍

Get a new nail tech…..def shouldn’t happen each time. No burning when curing gel and no soreness when drilling either.

I do my own nails (am gel trained) and it’s all about the cat eye and aurora chrome combo for me at the moment.

These have a lilac base, super fine cat eye with aurora chrome over that. I can’t stop staring at them lol.

I’m very boring! I gel my own nails as I can’t stand others doing them, I don’t like nail art and I only ever use one colour! Jan-Dec I only ever have Mylee Magic Toadstool!

Do mine myself. I did nude pink for about 18mths and I've had this red since Christmas! Basically I'm lazy and buy one bottle of gel polish and stick with it until the bottle's empty 😁

I am an anxious nail biter and have only managed to stop through getting them done. They are growing so well now.

When I have a break from getting them I always end up picking at/biting them again.

I tried press ons, many many years ago, but it was literally just stickers holding them on and they came off constantly.

im guessing things have moved on since then.

@onthewineagain I was the same with pressons until I realised I was doing it all wrong and using nails which were way too big! I now get about 2 weeks of wear from the ones I buy and sometimes even have to do several soaks to remove them even after the 2 weeks, plus they are reusable.

It's the prep that's key and using a decent glue, some people use tabs but I am too heavy handed for that but will use them if I want to wear a set for a few days for an event or something.

You have to make sure the pressons are the correct size (mine are extra small which is the only extra small thing I'll ever wear 😂.) I like to use a cuticle remover then a pusher before I thoroughly buff my nails to remove any shine and then I use alcohol wipes to dehydrate the nail (really cheap, mine were like £5 over a year ago and I still have over 3/4 of a box left)

I like to scrape the back of the press on lightly to create texture to help the nail bond better. The glue I use is the NYK1 nail bond brush on glue. I buy it from Amazon. If I use the sticky tabs I usually heat them up with a hair dryer to make them more sticky.

When I remove them I soak in hot soapy water with some oil and then clean the pressons. I file off any excess glue from the rear of the pressons using a pumice nail file and then store them in a case.

The dog is currently sleeping on my phone but they look exactly like this but more of an almond shape, this is the design though.
