I recently had my nails done and I’m in actual love with them. Can you be so in love with your own nails that you want to just stare at them forever and ever? So show me your nails now or your best nails! I told my nail tech to go ‘retro’ and that she did!!

I rely on press ons for many reasons which I've mentioned previously on this thread but I absolutely love the fact I can switch and change my sets especially at this time of year! Mine would be absolutely hated on Mumsnet ( particularly by those who post plain natural nails on a thread like this, WHY?!) they vary from cute floral ghosties to 3d horror with knives, saws and blood 😅! I'm sure I'd get all the tacky/chav comments but I love them so maybe I am a tacky chav 😅

Excuse my stupidity as I don't evet get fancy nail art but how do you ever manage to get even the most basic things done with nails like @Hayley1256 ?

I have pathetic, weak, brittle nails that barely grow, hence the extensions. Toenails are the opposite, grow like weed and as tough as old boots !

Just had mine done today. I prefer to take photos of my hand when flat but you couldn’t see the little cat properly on them because it was upside down and because they’re dark these are really hard to photograph anyway. 🙈

I’m honestly in love with the wee cats. My nail artist had a nightmare today though. Her super thin brush decided to start messing up recently so the moon and little stars had to be redone a few times. The stars were meant to be little four pointed ones but the brush just didn’t behave and honestly I think they’re great as little dots anyway (and that way she was able to add a few extra ones too). We may have (jokingly) argued a bit at the end as she didn’t want to take a larger tip because I felt she had really earned it today after that too. The cats behaved themselves though, they were perfect first time.

I wanted something sort of Halloweeny but not as obvious as pumpkins or ghosts (my best friend has ghosts right now so wanted different to her) and I think my artist nailed it (pun not intended). 😁

gotta love a happy accident! My nail tech is my next door neighbour so I feel like she can’t say no 🤣 I gave her the brief of not your usual Halloween nails and she went with ‘haunted mansion chic’ and I love them so much!
