To think this is really cheeky

So where I live the local farmer allocated a bit of extra garden to the rear of the houses. Currently all I do is cut the grass while i decide what to do with it. So next door asked me today if they can put up a trampoline in my bit of garden . Part of me thinks say yes as their garden at the rear of their house is awful and full of junk . But then another bit kicks in and thinks no sort your own garden out . Advice please

Say OK for half term only, but it will have to be gone after Sunday and you won't be able to host it at any other time.

I'd just say to them you got legal advice through your home insurance who advised you not to do this. Leave it at that or suggest they ask the neighbours if they can have what they were given back.

100% Hard No

JustFeedMeCake · 27/05/2025 14:53

Absolutely not. They have their own garden and they trashed it. Do you want them to trash yours as well? I can’t believe you’d even consider it!

Swiftie1878 · 27/05/2025 15:20

If they don’t look after their own garden, they’re hardly likely to look after the bit of yours you allow them to use.

A big, fat NO!

AlbertaWildRose · 27/05/2025 15:23

Definitely no. You will never get that bit of garden back.

IcyTealBear · 01/06/2025 17:33

First it will be the trampoline. Then it will be a couple of chairs. Maybe a bike or two, and so on, until your space is just as cluttered and messy as your neighbors. Just say no.

@Lovelycupofcoffee This is a few weeks old, but I hope you told them no. You would be responsible if anyone got hurt, and I don't think feeling sorry for a few kids is worth getting sued for an injury.

Lovelycupofcoffee · 29/06/2025 09:41

@AnnoyedAsAllHeck I got a gate put up haven’t seen them since but I can imagine I’m not on their Christmas card list this year 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Are YOU responsible if their children are injured on your allotted plot??? This goes past being nice or not, if legal ramifications are possibly incurred. Tell them you can
