Always a joy to see a house with some personality, in this era of beige, white and grey.

Funky garden too.

And the price…!

Agree about the colour

I love colour

Pallisers · 23/05/2025 23:36

The ceilings would freak me out.

I love the curtain fabrics though.

GarlicPile · 23/05/2025 23:43

I like it, too - well, mostly. The downstairs loo gave me a panic attack!

I think the odd ceiling is because it's got insulating tiles on it, which can't be safely removed. They've painted the tile edges to make it look a bit like patchwork 🤔

There appears to be a bright pink bath in the 'former kitchen/lounge'??

And the little cut's lovely but will bring rats to your garden. OK if you own a lively terrier, perhaps!

Sansan18 · 23/05/2025 23:48

The waterway going through the garden may make the house uninsurable. I think the ceiling is a wallpaper.

bridgetreilly · 23/05/2025 23:51

The ceiling is awful, but I love the rest of it. I couldn’t cope with the location, sadly.

purpleme12 · 23/05/2025 23:51

It won't be uninsurable

Just might not be insurable with the standard household insurance names that you think to try first, that's all

Middleagedstriker · 23/05/2025 23:54

Once the ceiling and insurance are sorted it's lovely.

Communitywebbing · 23/05/2025 23:57

Lovely house though the decor is awful. Great garden.
On an A road though which would be a No from me.

LadyGAgain · 24/05/2025 00:11

It’s stunning.

TinyTempest · 24/05/2025 00:19

The description keeps using the word 'spacious', yet everything's crammed in together?? 😳

It's spacious if you're a hamster, or if you want to play the piano while you're cooking dinner.

The ceiling in pic 1 😵‍💫

Also there clearly did some bulk deal on lampshades...

Its not for me... but does have character!

ThreePointOneFourOneFiveNine · 24/05/2025 00:25

I wouldn’t decorate my own house like it because I’d find it a bit overwhelming after a while. I’d love to stay there for a few days though. The garden I could happily live with as my own, very special.

Gattopardo · 24/05/2025 00:28

Wow - that’s … a house.

Now I love pattern and colour and not everything matchy matchy but this is not the house for me. YANBU to love it yourself though. And the person who lives there now, I salute your self expression.

The burn gives me fear of a dog, toddler or myself after a good night out, falling into it. Canals/ burns like this scare me because of the vertical concrete walls and the sense of potential entrapment. The ideal home for anyone with no visiting kids or dogs or fear of canals 😂

crumblingschools · 24/05/2025 00:30

A hangover and that toilet won’t make a good combination!

steff13 · 24/05/2025 00:31

It's bold. I love that the outside is pink. I actually just had new vinyl siding put on my house and I asked for pink but they didn't have it. But what's going on with the ceiling? It looks like acoustic tiles that have gone moldy.

FagsMagsandBags · 24/05/2025 01:21

I don't kind of like it. I love it! Yes the downstair's ceiling is odd but I'm sure it could be sorted. I love the log burner in the living room. The hall paint is a bit gorgeous and the accent paint is really good too. Excellent garden. My madness might be different than theirs in places but on the whole I love everything they've done and would love to see what's going on with the "former kitchen". I'm also loving that you get to live in a former shop and sometimes I'd play shop in my kitchen just because I could!

Thanks for sharing that. Top property porn!

Mumof2wifeof1crazytimes · 24/05/2025 01:42

Nasty ceilings but I like it. When the owners move out and take all their belongings I think it would look very different and sad though.

FiendsandFairies · 24/05/2025 02:09

It’s great!! It may not be everyone’s taste, but that the owners have put that much effort and love into it means it has a really lovely vibe.

Growlybear83 · 24/05/2025 02:16

It’s not to my taste but I think it’s so much nicer to see a house with real character than a bland and bare open plan grey house.

PawsAndTails · 24/05/2025 02:43

It's got some nice aspects I like but that ceiling and those loud wallpapers would have to go pronto.

StartEngineStop · 24/05/2025 03:03

Pippypippipples · 23/05/2025 22:11

Lmao pretty obvious it’s your house OP 🤣

Huh?

DeSoleil · 24/05/2025 05:57

It’s not to my taste. I like my home to be restful and calm. That’s far too busy looking.

SugarPlumpFairyCakes · 24/05/2025 06:02

The loo made me feel a bit spinny and it's heavily cluttered. But I like the house.

Sesma · 24/05/2025 06:08

I like it but I like heavily patterned things both in decor and clothing
