Help- how can DD stop getting sweat patches on her blue school shirt? :(

My DD13 has to wear blue collared shirts for school, which on hot days like these can end up with sweat patches under the arms. She gets extremely self conscious about them and so now, even on the hottest of days will refuse to take off her jumper and has been getting a few headaches (which seem to be connected to her feeling even hotter). She was tearful after school today as had been doing food tech this afternoon and the additional heat from the ovens in the room had made her feel even worse.

DD washes daily under her arms and uses deodorant which she says she leaves to dry for a few minutes before putting her bra and shirt on. I really wish the uniform had a white shirt instead of blue because the sweat patches would be far less obvious 😞.

Is there anything else she can try that anyone else’s DCs have had success with? All suggestions gratefully received. Many thanks in advance.

Sounds like you might’ve found a solution already, but if your DD is still struggling it could be worth a visit to the GP to explore options. They can prescribe super strength deodorants (similar to driclor), medication or even Botox. When I was a teen my parents imported ‘Secure Wipes’ from a Canadian pharmacy after trying loads of different options from the GP. No idea what was in them but they worked really well and I still don’t really sweat form my armpits - it was a long time ago but I’m sure you can still get them.
