Yo say Russell Brand can’t stoop much lower.

He has appeared in court this morning so I’m guessing he is in panic mode.
He seems to trying to use distraction tactics to avoid the reality of his past..
What about grooming gangs?
What about Southport?
I mean how low can you get to compare the Southport tragedy to what is happening in your life, both things have nothing to with him!
And if anyone is bored enough to try and explain his supporters to me feel free.. Lots of comments like, The government are trying to set him up because he has unlocked the matrix and got them all worried.
Are people really suggesting that he had kier Starmer so worried that the government have found four women willing to lie to the police about rape?
it’s completely insane.

I've never met the man but a couple of friends did at when I was at uni. He sounded like an absolute predator. I'm glad the world is now seeing him for who he is.

And even if he's found innocent of these charges, that doesn't mean he isn't a scumbag.

This. It's absolutely textbook. He doesn't genuinely believe half the stuff he's peddling, it's just the only way he can make a living now that he can't get work in the mainstream anymore. Same as Laurence Fox, Alex Jones etc.

There are always idiots willing to part with their money/take up your cause, as long as you tell them what they want to hear. Back in the day people like Brand would have been shunned into obscurity, but thanks to the internet and social media, they can platform themselves and continue the grift.

Unfortunately I don't think that it is the case that a man can "look like a rapist". Most of the time they are pretending to be our friend. Most of the time they are husbands, or boyfriends, or family members or friends. Most of the time there are a bunch of people willing to line up in court and say "what a great bloke he is". Most of the time the woman involved is ostracised from her family, community or social group for speaking up, while the man is protected by others.

That’s exactly what I meant. Sometimes this horror emerges about someone and you are genuinely shocked. Because, as you say, they present as a normal human being. Not RB. There were 71,227 rapes recorded by police in 2024. 5 out of 6 women and 4 out of 5 men don’t report it to police. God only knows how many more go through it and never tell a soul. So I’m a bit confused by the point you’re trying to make by posting a report of a single rapist who was convicted. I can’t imagine that you’re suggesting that the people saying cases rarely get to court are wrong because the lead singer of a band was convicted. You’re not saying that, are you?
