He has appeared in court this morning so I’m guessing he is in panic mode.
He seems to trying to use distraction tactics to avoid the reality of his past..
What about grooming gangs?
What about Southport?
I mean how low can you get to compare the Southport tragedy to what is happening in your life, both things have nothing to with him!
And if anyone is bored enough to try and explain his supporters to me feel free.. Lots of comments like, The government are trying to set him up because he has unlocked the matrix and got them all worried.
Are people really suggesting that he had kier Starmer so worried that the government have found four women willing to lie to the police about rape?
it’s completely insane.

For those saying cases rarely go to court, the singer of Spandau Ballet was found guilty last year on similar charges.

Yes but Spandau guy ,he had filmed himself and the videos were recovered.

”I mean how low…”

Russell Brand is bottomless.

He is in deep. He's trying it all - did you see he got baptised recently? What a load of rubbish. Clear his guilty conscience and clean his character

He’s actually been a Christian for a while, recovering addict and all that, might go with the territory of rehab. Still a vile alleged rapist though. And no doubt the baptism was performative for the new US audience and a redemption arc narrative.

treesandsun · 02/05/2025 19:53

Yes - bizarrely - he mentioned her on some you tube thing quite recently. Wonder if she will stay with him though.

They have very young kids. I don’t think they will still be together in 15 years.

I’m not referring specifically to RB here, but do you really believe that it’s possible for a sex offender to change? I mean, I can understand that a thief could change if their circumstances changed. Or a violent thug could change as they got older, drank less and went out less. But if you’ve got it in you to do that to a person, does that ever leave you? I’m not convinced it does.

Edited

Yes - if they want to.

I hate trial by media.

You're a bit late. This trite misguided trope usually pops up earlier in a thread. You seem confused. I doubt you are really are but here goes, just in case.

Media reporting is not a țrial. Talking about a țrial is not a țrial. Trials happen in court rooms. Courtroom trials are reported in the media. Evidence revealed in trials are reported. Discussing such evidence on social media is not a trial.

Hope that helps.

He just shared this on instagram, It’s actually ridiculous that he thinks he is so important. His defence lawyer must have told him to stop with this conspiracy theory bullshit, but they probably also advised him to button his shirt up.

What do you mean, what makes someone a “real victim”
I really hope that he gets found guilty, but I’ve (as a victim) been part of a rape trial, It’s horrific how they can twist the narrative in a court room.

I’ve been a witness in court (not rape, assault), and I was shocked at the tactics used to bamboozle and twist things, taking advantage of people’s lack of experience in a courtroom situation and basic assumption that all they need to do us tell the truth (whereas the defendants have been carefully schooled on what to say by their lawyer).

After I gave my evidence and explained what happened, the lawyer suddenly suggested to me that I was never even there, and I was so blindsided it didn’t occur to me until we left the building that it was me who rang the police and was on the 999 call. There was no-one checking anything, it was all decided based on showboating.

Anyway, what has always stuck with me is what a load of unrigourous bullshit our justice system is, which was only reinforced by my time serving on a jury.

WinterMorn · 02/05/2025 20:22

You know it’s bad that when the perennial floater Tucker Carlson comes out in your defence!

He's openly admitted his bad past. I do believe that he's changed for the good, but he still committed crimes that need to be atoned.

No, he hasn't admitted rape and sexual assault - that's why he's on trial. There was a mealy-mouthed mea culpa if that's what you mean. Also atonement is not part of the UK criminal justice system - accountability and punishment is.

I am not going into detail, but I can, from personal experience, absolutely confirm that he is a rapist. I hope he gets sent to prison. I hope he goes to fucking hell. I hope he gets even a drop of what he deserves.

Seeing his odious face on the news has genuinely made me vomit.

I hope he goes to prison for a very long time.

He thinks the British government put him in the same category as Julian Assange? 😂 I hope he says this in court. 😂

Yep the court experience shocked the hell out of me, I was asked to read out to the jury what I was wearing the night I was raped.. She then asked “Can you not understand how that might be confusing to men” This was 2024 by the way, not 1624. I couldn’t believe the defences spin, I think I’m probably still in shock and it’s been 7 months since my trial finished.

There is too much of the ‘lynch mob’ mentality now and he is innocent until proven guilty.

exactly!
while confusing ‘innocent until proven guilty’ with Innocence, as
no one could ever accuse Russell Brand of this and make it stick

His comments on a TV documentary about loving to see a woman’s mascara run with her tears as he rammed his cock down her throat (making her choke) helped me to decide.

Jesus Christ, I’m so sorry you had to be in that room and experience that utter bullshit. It doesn’t even make sense that they would ask you that question – is it an accusation, if so of what? How the fuck can you know someone’s motives for attacking another person. Do they ask this to people who have things stolen from their cars? ‘Do you think it might have been confusing for the thief?’ WHAT CRAP. Fucking sexist bullshit.

Are women on a beach all fair game then? Are bikinis too confusing for men?

I thought we were all clear what consent is nowadays. I cannot believe that in 2024 a defence lawyer would still be allowed to try and blame an outfit for someone else’s decision to attack.

I am so, so sorry you had to deal with such a load of horrible, stupid bullshit. May the person who attacked you and the spineless, gutless people who defended him rot in hell.

autumntimebrowns · 02/05/2025 20:58

He’s a twat. He assaulted my son once. Pushed him over at a demo. It’s about time he got his comeuppance

OoLaOoLa · 02/05/2025 21:10

@LudvillasCave
Yeah I still can’t believe it to be honest, The police told me afterwards it’s a common tactic used by defence lawyers.. She made me look angry and argumentative by making me angry… The second I broke and started crying she had no further question. But the damage was done, she’d shown the jury a fiery woman (she actually called me that at one point) who could stand up for herself. Like the women in this trial my case was historic, I can’t imagine I would have coped very well if it had gone to trial when I was a teenager.
I have two friends who have had similar experiences in court over the last 5 years and both cases ended with a guilty verdict, I am praying these women get justice too, and a good prosecutor.

Ah, Tucker again, he enjoys defending that type.

Recently interviewed Conor McGregor, the other scruff, convicted in civil court rapist, tucker didn't ask him one question about the recent civil case, conor lost.

I really appreciate the kind and understanding comments. This has really thrown me, I've got my head between my knees vomiting, have a serious stress induced migrane, and am terrified of having a seizure (mine are brought on by stress). I'll be okay, the kindness of other people on here has been somewhat soothing. Or I'll have a seizure and spend another week in hospital. Really hoping it's not the latter.
