A woman frequently walks around, and if she spots anything left outside someone's house that's clearly meant to be free, she takes a picture and posts it on Facebook to "advertise" it. Several of us have already asked her to please stop doing this, but she hasn't. What do we do?!

Well perhaps that's something you could campaign for. Out of interest where do all unwanted, broken items go? Are they just fly tipped somewhere?

The goats eat them.

Sorry, seemed in keeping with the mildly insane responses so far.

It’s a bit weird that she goes round taking photos of people’s free items as if it’s her job, and especially pushing past you and insisting on taking a photo! She sounds eccentric, not psychopathic.

Surely the solution is simple, though? Don’t leave items outside your house, advertise them on Facebook/ freecycle (is that still going?) yourself from inside your house and wait for them to be collected, or take them to a charity shop? There must be a lot of people leaving stuff outside for free frequently if this woman makes it her life’s work to advertise them. It is a bit odd.

Stop fly tipping and contact a waste carrier to dispose of your rubbish appropriately.

Oh no, the cardinal sin! Drip feeding! Sorry I didn't add every single piece of info. I thought this was a forum, you're supposed to converse

If your op had included the very crucial info that she is not just making people aware of items but running a "reservation" service without telling the owners, then I think you'd have got very different responses. It's not a "single piece of info", it's the crucial one.

Please stop leaving your crap in the street. Scrap metal is fine, it'll be taken within an hour or so. Books, broken toys, worn out shoes etc - just no, it is very messy and nobody will want it once dogs wee on it etc. Take it to the charity shop, children's centre, school fair drop-off, the dump, or advertise it yourself on facebook.

Yeah and I for one blurred my home as I didn't permit Google to do it either

This suggests one of you two is weird, yes.

Clue.... It's not her

Is your house in witness protection?
