to declare the Wheat Crunchies bacon flavour are the WORST cripsy snack

I'll fight you... the texture is horrible the flavour is grim AND it repeats ...

Usually I love a smoky bacon flavour crispy snack, but Wheat Crunchies? vom.

Clearly a stealth marketing campaign - I haven't seen/thought about them since secondary school vending machine days but they're now definitely on the shopping list 😉

Everyone likes different things!
So many people like fried eggs and avocados and I think wtf.. funny how different our tastebuds are. I could eat bag after bag of wheat crunchies

They are ELITE! A gladiator of the snack world, you get none of this ‘crumbling into a pile of dust as soon as they hit your mouth’ shit like other snacks!

On a par with Scampi Fries in my not so humble opinion.

Just checking you're not referring to Smiths' Bacon flavour Fries, which are so sublime we buy them as a "multipack" consisting of a cardboard backing sheet with the packs stapled to them, like you'd see in the pub. I did previously buy them in regular shops but they were always lumbered with the Scampi Fries, which I emphatically Do Not Want. Wheat Crunchies become hard shards in the mouth, I don't like that...

I always disliked them too op, but then again I hate bacon flavour crisps to begin with. I used to find the tomato ones "okay", but not amazing. This was however in an era where Walkers crisps actually tasted nice. I had a friend whose dm would put them in her lunchbox every single school day, along with dry from scratch breadbuns and she hated them. She just wanted Walkers, or even supermarket own brand. But nope, same flavour wheat Crunchies every day.

I'm now a fan of Seabrook. I used to like Kettle Chips, but even they have changed a bit, and not as flavoursome as they once were.

I find seabrook, a bit hit and miss with the flavour ,sometimes they are lovely and flavoursome,other times not so much.

This weekend I tried a "well known supermarkets" jalopeno with cheese crinkle cut crisps that were in a very similarly designed packed to the well known brand marketed as "Max Strong" from Walkers.

Sad to say that the budget version was a pale imitation of the branded version, both in terms of crisp texture and flavour.

Edit : I know this has nothing to do with wheat crunchos but it is my snack discovery for the week.

bacon flavour crisps always good generally however,

bacon flavour wheaty tubes of disappointment... not good
