Demands from the 'Open Letter to Parliament' below. The whole letter is available at transrightsnow.uk it is probably best to type this into your browser to avoid the redirection.

"Rights and Protections

GRA 2004 must be amended with immediate effect to allow for legal self declaration of gender without the need for a medical diagnosis or reports. This should also include full legal recognition for non-binary, intersex people and under 18s, complete removal of the spousal veto, and deletion of the list of GRC holders.
Removal of all sex or gender based exemptions from the Equality Act 2010 in relation to gender reassignment.
Addition of restrictions to the protected characteristic of ‘Religion and Belief’ to ensure that this avenue can never be used to strip other protected characteristics of rights ever again.
References to sex or gender on marriage applications and certificates should be removed.
References to ‘father’ and ‘mother’ should be replaced with gender neutral terms on birth certificates.
Driving Licences should cease to encode sex or gender in any form.
Passports should offer “X” as a sex or gender marker option for those who want it.
Anti-Trans language and rhetoric should be legally classified as hate speech, including the deliberate misgendering of transgender people. This should also include making it illegal for the UK Press and Media to incite moral panics in order to protect all minority groups from the perpetration of lies, misinformation and disinformation. If this cannot be done as part of regulating hate speech then it should be enacted as a form of press regulation, which is currently highly inadequate.
Hate Groups, such as Sex Matters, LGB Alliance and For Woman Scotland should be labelled by the Government as such and stripped of charity status.
Gender neutral facilities to be required in all public buildings for those who want them.
The rights of binary trans men and trans women and non-binary people to use all ‘single sex spaces’ that align with our experienced sex or gender, or that we feel most comfortable in.
A legal right to gender affirmative healthcare on the NHS established, with a legal duty for treatment to be started within the NHS constitutional limit of 18 weeks. This should include the right for under 18s to transition medically and regardless of how their parents feel.
Cosmetic genital surgery on intersex babies to be banned.
The formation of a new, specific class of MP for minority groups, starting with transgender and non-binary people, to ensure we are no longer excluded from the parliamentary process and decisions that affect our lives.
A legal duty to consult and seek agreement with minority communities before taking actions or making changes that affect them.
Reestablishment of the Governments LGBT Advisory Board, and its existence codified in law.
Establishment of a Government Transgender, Non-Binary & Intersex Advisory Board, and its existence codified in law.
A duty for the British Government to offer asylum to trans and nonbinary people from countries oppressing them, starting with the United States of America.
The right for transgender prisoners to be housed in accordance with their lived, experienced sex or gender, limited only where the offender is known to be violent or a violent sex offender, where the establishment of specific third spaces should be used.
Protection from conversion abuse practices, including the misnamed pseudo-medical ‘Gender Exploratory Therapy’, which is merely a means of delaying or denying access to gender affirming care.
The right to participate in all sports, including at elite level, in line with our lived, experienced sex or gender, using the current International Olympic Committee guidelines as a basis for inclusion.
Banning the nonconsensual cosmetic procedures upon those born with intersex variations (mostly) in infancy, while retaining the right to consensual and medically necessary procedures.

Healthcare

The illegitimate and discriminatory ban on Puberty Blockers reverted immediately.
A full, independent inquiry conducted into the formation and running of the fraudulent Cass Review, and the Cass Review to be disavowed as the fraudulent, political propaganda that it is.
Gender Affirming treatment to be provided on an informed consent basis for those over 18, and those under 18 who are Gillick competent.
A legal duty for GPs to initiate and provide ongoing gender affirming care & treatment to transgender people on an informed consent basis, to replace so called ‘gender clinics’ over the next 2 years.
An immediate extending of surgical provision for all types of gender affirming surgery, and the provision to allow the use of private providers, including overseas providers at cost to the NHS until domestic provision is adequately established.
Extension of available gender affirming treatments available on the NHS, including but not limited to:
Breast augmentation where HRT doesn’t provide sufficient growth.
200 hours of electrolysis
Facial surgery where desired
Any gender non-conforming surgeries
Full compensation paid to any transgender people who have been forced to pay for private treatment due to the failures of the NHS to address the issues faced in accessing gender affirming care.

Public Duties & Bodies

A full investigation into the anti-trans politicisation of the NHS, coupled with the removal of anti-trans policy makers such as Wes Streeting.
A full investigation into the anti-trans politicisation of the Equality and Human Rights Commission, coupled with the removal of anti-trans policy makers such as Kishwer Falkner, Alasdair Henderson and Akua Reindorf.
A full investigation into the anti-trans politicisation of the civil service and the removal of those involved, including the disbanding of so called Sex Equality and Equity Networks (SEEN).
A full investigation into the anti-trans politicisation of the Charity Commission, which legitimised the anti-trans hate groups Sex Matter & LGB Alliance.
A full investigation into the anti-trans politicisation of the Ministry of Justice and the Judiciary, and the removal of those involved.
The establishment of an extended Conflict of Interest process for all public and political bodies, including MPs and Ministers, that declares both religious and ‘philosophical belief’.
A full investigation into the abuse of the political appointments process employed by the UK Government to enable the anti-trans politicisation of the establishment over the last 10 years.
A full investigation into the conduct of and systemic incitement of hatred by the UK Press and Media against the trans community."

Strip women’s rights from them and give them to us. And then strip rights from a load of other people too, so that they can’t never do to us what we’ve just done to women.

That pretty much sums it up.

I'm at the point now where so much has come out over the last week that ti can't believe anyone doesn't see it anymore!

Having said that, I have a fb friend who often posts lots of pro trans stuff. I tend to just ignore that because she's OK otherwise.

Her posts often gain a fair bit of traction (several positive comments and likes) but she's posted twice since the ruling.

One got a single like and no comments and the other was completely ignored.

So maybe there is hope...

Gender records should be anonymised, and only ever recorded as part of equalities monitoring.

But, but... that's just nonsense.

If we created an entirely sexless/genderless society with no records anywhere, what would we collect equality monitoring for? What would the data be compared against? What purpose would it serve?

Idiots.

And how would their special category of trans MP exist when they don't want themselves identified as trans?

FigsOfFury · 25/04/2025 13:01

Wow they are throwing quite the tantrum. Of course you’re not being unreasonable. It’s batshit in the extreme.

lightinthebox · 25/04/2025 13:02

Oh goody, an echo chamber to mock trans rights. What fun.

lightinthebox · 25/04/2025 13:02

Oh goody, an echo chamber to mock trans rights. What fun.

They're not rights though. They're demands. And, if you read them, you'd probably agree that most of them are ridiculous.

BrightLightFright · 25/04/2025 13:17

The letter specifically states 'as a community we are now presenting a list of non-negotiable demands for immediate action'.

So, lightinthebox, this is about demands, not rights. If you don't like the word 'demands' take it up with Ryan et al.

OP posts:
thedancingclown · 25/04/2025 13:27

And how are they going to pay for all this? No - they will expect us to. Totally deluded to have come up with this & think it is viable. Insulting to the vast majority is the population & controlling in how people can behave according to their cult like rules.

What do you believe makes a mockery of trans rights? The letter itself, or the OP sharing it and asking for opinions on whether the demands are unreasonable?

Wotchawant · 25/04/2025 13:35

I wonder if they were stamping their feet as well. I want! I want! I want!

Nah, this is a real roll around the supermarket aisles screaming tantrum!

It's OK though. They'll tire themselves.out eventually and fall asleep 😉

INeedAPensieve · 25/04/2025 13:39

It's very demanding; "non negotiable" indeed. It's totally mad to me that they are making such a fuss over something so simple. The supreme court upheld scientific facts and reality. No rights have been removed from them. In fact trans men now have the right to full maternity privileges, pregnancy care and pay (as they should, which inexplicably the Scottish government was trying to strip).

It's just a clarification that sex means biological sex. That's it. Women deserve safety, privacy and dignity in single sex spaces. In particular when in rape crisis centres, domestic abuse refuges, prisons, changing rooms and hospitals. Even women who haven't suffered trauma need single sex spaces. We are vulnerable when sharing spaces with men.

99% of all sexual assaults are perpetrated by male people. Over 85% of the victims are female people. It's about sex. Sometimes it really does matter.

I am really angry right now at how much the media are encouraging the whining of angry men, giving a platform to them to moan when in fact it should be about how three brave women took on a government and won. And all they won really was a clarification of the law. Nothing has been removed.

Also the absolute idiocy of some privileged celebrities jumping on the bandwagon has annoyed me too.

Nameychangington · 25/04/2025 13:50

I'm starting to think that Ryan is just indulging a humiliation fetish. He spent £100000 trying to make the government recognise him as a non binary and now... this

MissScarletInTheBallroom · 25/04/2025 13:54

Can't he just be sent home? He sounds like a real PITA.

ItsNotUnusualToBe · 25/04/2025 13:57

And some cutted up pear.

catgirl1976 · 25/04/2025 13:59

This is peak Operation Let Them Speak IMO

MissScarletInTheBallroom · 25/04/2025 14:01

I know it sounds flippant, but this man has wasted god only knows how many thousands of pounds of taxpayers' money trying to get a country of which he is not a citizen to legally recognise his made up gender identity.

He is already recognised as non binary in America.

If you choose to move to another country, you accept its law and its culture. If that means you need to adapt to integrate into that country's culture, that's what you do. You don't expect that country to change its own laws to accommodate you. If you don't like it, you go home, surely?

Don’t worry the Edinburgh Health Manifesto will ban birth certificates as they are a violence against trans people. So won’t have to remove mother/father after all.

We demand an end to birth certificates and to legal gender. Gender records should be anonymised, and only ever recorded as part of equalities monitoring. Neither government, nor any institution, has any justification for keeping a register of trans people. Birth certificates are not just a violence against trans people, they are a material to the state’s oppression of “undocumented” immigrants and asylum seekers

Yeah, perfectly "sound" tall they have there, isn't it?
I really feel for those who are not happy with the body are in or have issues with their sex/ gender. I am happy to share certain spaces, like toilets. I am happy to refer to anyone by their pronoyns, though I do find some difficult at times, I want to get it right.
But the words mother, father, woman ( no cis-woman, just woman) are to stay. I am positive that most trans or other genders are happy to refer to their parents as mother and father. The irony, it is the preferred gender of some people, so it cannot be erradicated, right? It makes zero sense.

I am positively positive that the majority do not agree with a vast mumber of demand points. Because they are quite the thing.....

Shocked that 5 percent of people so far think this list of demands is perfectly reasonable. Just 😂

I think this screed of nonsense could be quite easily categorised as 'shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted'.

TRAs, the horse has bolted, the ship has sailed, it's over. You're twisting in the wind.

TRAs, the horse has bolted, the ship has sailed, it's over. You're twisting in the wind.

Everything on the list was seen as achievable in the 2010s when the movement was at it's peak - remember the 'brave and bold' Caitlyn Jenner? The existing community was taken over by colorful lunatics demanding more and more ridiculous stuff and successive governments both sides of the Atalantic embraced it as progress. George Floyd, MeToo and the general 'Be Kind' movement meant it was seen as mean and bigoted to voice concerns about trans issues.

It's been straight downhill in the UK since the SNP tried to pass the Gender Recognition Reform Act. The government realised how daft things had got and blocked it, alerting the wider public to the likes of puberty blockers, surgeries and associated madness. Then came Cass and the puberty blockers went, now the new ruling 'draws a line under the issue' with the government cynically taking advantage of it to switch to the trans-hostile stance demanded by the US for the chance of a trade deal.

Transgender people have always existed - the nature of my career meant that I had a couple of colleagues going through the process of living as the opposite sex before being able to access NHS surgery. They used the disabled loos as it was Trust policy but still suffered horrible bullying. Both the teenage trans patients I cared for after massive trauma from serious suicide attempts were seriously bullied. The one who survived was then ridiculed by the nursing staff.

In the US the administration is working hard on demonising often vulnerable trans teens who are terrified by the current direction of travel. Looks like it will be neurodivergence targeted next as there is so much crossover with ASD.

It's worrying how many people are (wilfully?) misinterpreting the recent ruling as all trans people being deserving of derision, ridicule and bullying, with some posters on MN chomping at the bit for their first chance to misgender someone.

The predatory 'bearded man in a dress' lurking around ladies' loos is not representative of the vast majority of trans people and it's unfair to tar them with the same brush. They have already lost the argument, surely some kindness is needed going forward.

Would they like all this delivered on a silver platter, or an upgrade to gold?

But since I'm trans and apparently we're demanding whatever we want now, I'd like a new house with the mortgage fully paid off, my own cleaner and a free take out every Friday when I really don't want to cook anything.

Nameychangington · 25/04/2025 14:36

with the government cynically taking advantage of it to switch to the trans-hostile stance demanded by the US for the chance of a trade deal.

It's not 'trans-hostile'. The judge was clear, people with the PC of gender reassignment are protected against illegal discrimination, just as they always have been under the Equality Act. I personally haven't seen any gender critical women wishing trans people actual harm.or that 'all trans people being deserving of derision, ridicule and bullying'. Ridiculous tantrum demands are funny,. whatever grown adults are making them.

Maybe 'the vast majority of trans people' should be doing more to disassociate their cause from the aggressive misogynists doing the shouting and threatening, as we saw at the weekend. If they don't then the tarring they get with the same brush is on them really.

I don't think I've seen any commentary suggesting that the piss throwing death threats makers should #bekind. Maybe it's only women who need to do that.

Did you not read the letter? How can he go home, he's in the priority group for political asylum from the oppressive regime in his homeland!

Am I to understand that he fled California in 2019 to seek refuge in Britain because he believed his homeland was hostile to non-binary people, somehow managed to obtain legal recognition of his non-binary gender identity in the state of California in 2021, was issued an American passport in 2022 listing his sex as X, then took the UK government to court for failing to allow him to do likewise in the UK, lost in the Court of Appeal, and nevertheless continues to seek refuge in the UK and intends to apply for citizenship?

It's almost as if, despite failing to recognise made up gender identities in law, the UK is not actually a cesspit of transphobia but a safe country for people like Ryan.
