WWYD hit a parked car

I reversed into a car in a train station. Took reg details and photo of damage and informed my insurance. Damage is minimal (photo proof). I didn’t have anything to hand to write a note. Would you just forget about it and see what happens and would you worry about it. What would you have done differently? I do feel awful about this and hate that I’ve done this

Don’t worry, hopefully the cctv will have seen so no need for a note.

This happened to me recently. My learner driver niece was exiting a parking space in my car and touched the car beside her. I waited for the owner to return and swapped details. I was very apologetic. There wasn't any damage to his car, the bumper was pulled slightly, but he didn't make a claim against me.

Some people find your attitude despicable and in my opinion quite rightly so.

@Lanzarotelady nice to see you found what I said amusing. Most decent people have names for people who behave like that.

Someone did this to me years ago, however unfortunately for them someone saw them and left me their details. I reported them to the police. The police tried to encourage me to let it go as they were a new driver but I refused and insisted they dealt with the matter.

I would leave details as twice people haven't bothered leaving details for me and it's horrid.

I wouldn't have any concerns about the police coming though - I phoned them on Saturday after someone hit my car whilst overtaking (dangerously and all on dashcam) and drove off and they weren't remotely interested unless any street furniture was damaged.
