It’s not the fish fingers but the random tomato along side that’s making me twitchy. One doesn’t go with the other IMO. Swap it for tomato ketchup.

Is she horrified because they're not in a sandwich? If so, your friend is correct and YABU.

Or is she horrified because it's too many? In which case she is wrong and YANBU. An adult can never get full on fish fingers. They're like celery, you use more calories eating them than they contribute; they're a net loss.

I'd rather have fish fingers in a sandwich, eg ciabatta roll, with tartar sauce or horseradish than a random tomato, but fresh tomatoes aren't my favourite things. Have what you like OP and enjoy it.

I think it depends on the size of the fishfinger to be honest. Some are so tiny, they're really not worth the effort. However, yesterday, we had some that were huge! They were Birds Eye 6 Crispy Battered Fish Fingers Extra Large - which I hadn't even realised I'd chosen in the online shop - they were lovely and the batter was tasty too, but we struggled to eat 3 each (and I have a HUGE appetite!).

Oh my goodness I am full after one fish finger and can never finish off my massive salad that I serve alongside.
