What do you think of this bridesmaids look (totally different dresses)

I’m having a Summer wedding in a beautiful manicured garden (weather permitting - it is abroad so very likely)

I have come across this image and think it’s just lovely. I had been looking at various shades of teal. So don’t know if I am drawn to this style just because I am over looking at blue dresses or if I genuinely prefer it.

What do you think? I will have 4 bridesmaids

I really don’t like many dresses labelled “bridesmaids” dresses so it appeals that I can just give each bridesmaid a colour and they can find a knockout dress in said colour

I think it’s really lovely so long as the colours complement each other

Back in the 80s when I got married my sister refused to be a bridesmaid unless she could have a purple dress. My other adult bridesmaid wore a matching emerald green dress and the youngest wore one in cerise in a slightly different (higher at the top style). Sounds awful, but they looked lovely and quite different from the usual matching dresses.

Love the idea and I guarantee your bridesmaids will love you for it. They can pick something that suits their size and style.

I think it’s a great idea. Are you paying for the dresses etc @Plife?

Intriguing. Have you got a picture?

I love the pictures OP, and the idea.

the worry for me, Scottish Huge weddings would be what is the function of the bridesmaids?

so whilst all stunning, looks no different to a photo of the bride with her best friends, non bridesmaid. So…..

im not sure, mine were absolutely wonderful. But almost like stewards, or visible helpers. Mind that was twenty years ago.

if you are just paying for the dress? Perhaps cancel that, say wear what you want, but my gift to you as a special friend is the room, or whatever.
