Would this comment offend you - DH about gym

My DH is off work this week, so has been going to the gym in the morning rather than after work in the evening.

I asked him when he got back earlier if he is enjoying going at the start of the day when he has more energy, and he basically said - ‘all the MILF’s are there in their tight leggings after the school run which is the main benefit’.

I didn’t laugh - infact I found it really quite rude towards myself. Have I had a sense of humour failure or would this annoy you too?

OP, how would your DH react if you told him you like going to the gym during the daytime as the hot male personal trainers are there and you like watching them do their stretches in their tight shorts?

Would he find that funny? Would he be bothered by it? Would he be totally OK with you checking them out because after all, it's not as if you're actually shagging any of them, is it?

If he would be totally unfazed by you telling him how you enjoy leering at other men while working out, then at least there's some consistency in his logic....

If he wouldn't like it, then that tells you all you need to know.

Firstly the disrespect towards you in saying how fit they all are is not okay but also his attitude and the lack of respect is disgusting talking about women like an object for his pleasure and indicative of something I would not like in a partner. I've got to be honest, I'd be more honoured by the level of candour and find it amusing. I'd probably punch his arm and tell him he's a slag !

I did point out what it stands for, he just said no one means it literally and that’s it’s just a generic term for attractive women of a certain age. I told him to stop digging a bigger hole.

I'm really not worried if my husband finds other women attractive to be honest. I don't expect him to go round with blinkers on because he's married. Looking doesn't equal touching

It’s crude boorish and sexist. I’m honestly astonished by the women on this thread who wouldn’t be bothered by this. It’s not the fact that he finds other women attractive, it’s the fact he’s reducing them to MILFs and clearly perving over them in the gym. And then doubling down on it!
