as it seems somehow pretentious

I bought ds these pyjamas and dd looks so sweet in this dress

misdee · 14/05/2008 09:44

dd3 wears a lot of boden stuff. it has done dd1+2 before her. i have found some stuff has shrunk, her shorty pj's are age 5-6, as the cuffs has shrunk and fit on her skinny arms and legs. some stuff has been passed onto lisad123 and sparkly for their babies as well, and they will pass them back for dc#4.

i love the nighties, but are they treated to be non-flamable? i'm guessing yes as nighties have to be.

Enid · 14/05/2008 09:45

I have had bad experiences with white co, but it was ages ago

my dds nighties go into holes also - but tbh they usually get through two kids before that happens - Boden for dd1 is brill value as they last through three girls!

tbh I have realised that they will be very LONG when they arrive and that dd1 will not like that much. So I may have to buy her a crappy one as a standby. All her pjs/nighties are on their last legs so she does need some new stuff.

mmm actually dd1+2 want to both go on the big sleepover next month with their rainbow and brownie packs. should i get them new nightwear?

WideWebWitch · 14/05/2008 09:51

I bought a big fluffy pale blue dressing gown from White Co a couple of years ago and it was crap, kept shedding threads everywhere, got rid of it less than six months later, really poor quality imo. Haven't bought anything from them since.

Enid · 14/05/2008 09:52

now I wouldnt care about that so much

tbh mine are actually quite ANXIOUS about going to school in their pjs

they dont really like the idea

dd1, to me, in anguish, "mummy but shall I wear KNICKERS under my nightie?" (she doesnt usually)

(glad you liked the by children for children enid, I did feel a pang as I bought a t shirt for dd for £1.50, there's no way they can have been produced ethically and I know Walmart's record isn't good)

WideWebWitch · 14/05/2008 09:53

Oh bless them. You are going to let her wear knickers aren't you? Is it a whole day? What's it in aid of?

Enid · 14/05/2008 09:55

its a fundraiser

yes of course she can wear pants

tbh I think she'll be happier in pjs - but obv she is 8.5 and knows her own mind

dd2 will be in her element flitting around in a boden fairy dress, showing off

give them rocket and parmesan sandwiches (praps with a splash of balsamic) for their packed lunches and they'll be set...LOL

Enid · 15/05/2008 15:40

the prints arent nearly as nice as they used to be I must say
