Pancake Toppings

Lemon and sugar has got to be the best. Lemon first then sugar so it sticks to the Lemon, rolled up and then more Lemon and sugar on the top. just has to be said.

Why have I never thought of cinnamon, sugar and butter on pancakes? What a glorious idea!

My DC alternate sweet toppings between lemon and sugar, maple syrup, homemade butterscotch sauce, and Nutella. Savoury fillings are usually cheese with onion, spinach and sweetcorn.

I've never done savoury pancakes but will definitely try them now, also love the sound of the cinnamon butter ones too.

Hubby & I just said this tonight - you can't beat lemon & sugar.
As kids it was all we had. (We are late 50s now).
We do have lots of toppings for the kids - Nutella, berries, bananas, cream.
But we definitely think lemon & sugar is best.

Nutella, whipped cream and chopped nuts was the winner for us tonight

I had 1 x ham and cheese, 1 x lemon and sugar and 1 x Nutella and strawberries
DH had 3 x Nutella
DS7 had cheese and ham, lemon and sugar, another cheese and ham and copious amounts of strawberries on the side
DD4 had cheese and ham, then a raspberry jam and Nutella one with numerous slices of ham and strawberries on the side

I've still got mixture left from yesterday so im going to try a ham, cheese and mushroom one, then a cinnamon, butter one for afters, maybe an orange one too.
