I hate them. So much. PLEASE can someone recommend a very very quiet one before I literally rip it out of the wall.

Ah - OK. So the S&P fan is more powerful, but not as quiet? Have I got that right? Thanks!

Possibly about the same on quietness? Envirovent claims 26.5 dB, S&P claims
19 - 24 dB. My fan is certainly very quiet.

If you have a window in your bathroom to throw the fan out of, why do you need a fan anyway?

Exactly! We got rid of ours and just open the window instead.
The previous occupants had damp problems, which we don't, so I don't think it was even as efficient.

Swap it for a whisper-quiet one or get an electrician to change the wiring so you have two switches so you can turn on the light without the fan turning on too!

Ours is really noisy in the en-suite. But it only comes on when you switch it on, not when you switch the light on. I can live with that!
