Ear stroking on tube - is it odd?

Travelling on the tube this evening and noticed a that a woman was stroking the ear of man sitting next to her. She was long away from him and her hand was vigorously stroking massaging the ear furthest away from her. This wasn’t gentle stroking but quite vigorous massaging. Both were impassive.
it found it quite unnerving ! No one else seemed to notice and neither of the passengers were making eye contact.
just seemed a bit weird or is it me?

I’ve just remembered the man on London Bridge, bald/shaved head, wearing a huge, floor length black overcoat on what was a warm rush hour morning. Shucks the coat off, not a stitch on underneath it, and proceeds to stand on a small wooden box in the middle of the east side pavement. I assumed there was a photographer somewhere, but I didn’t notice one.

Of course nobody stopped to stare or even missed a step.

I’ve also seen a man walking with a parrot on his shoulder, but he seemed to be in a rush, so I just admired his parrot from a distance. Also London.
