To think Princess Di was killed

There OK I said it. You hoo, crazy conspiracy theorist over here…

Yes, I know they had an inquiry though anyone high up enough to kill a Royal could snowball an Inquiry or influence the outcome ? I think it’s naive to think the law is this perfect thing.

Ive always found it odd that she was labelled a “loose cannon” by the press and was campaigning against landmines. It was said that it caused a lot of noses out of joint in politics. I would have thought that weapons dealers and the industry would have taken a huge hit.

There aren’t many celebrities or organisations that could have taken on the weapons or arms industry as powerfully as Diana. It was until then an issue that nobody touched.

Since her death there’s still landmines and the issue has never really been addressed.

I wonder if she’d been alive today what she’d be doing. Not hard to imagine her visiting children impacted by war and maybe even Palestinian refugees, beaming images around the world to restore some sanity and humanity.

I dont think we realise the humanity, bravery and brilliance she had. Could have been going to glamorous events and being a Princess but instead she was carrying on even when powerful people were upset.

I wonder how powerful those people were or was it someone British. Men don’t take a liking to women with power and it amazes me more that she wasn’t killed deliberately in the context of this.

What are the chances she would die at such a young age and to not be wearing a seat belt seems bizarre to me. Just too many coincidences.

Kanga Tryon

That was before he married Diana.

And put a dead body in the car that happened to look just like her?

It was a far fetched theory, but weirder things have happened!

She wasn’t dead in the car. She was taken away alive in an ambulance, then there was a news blackout while she put on a false moustache and a wig received medical treatment. Who knows what happened in those few hours? She had the resources for fake passports and private jets.

JandamiHash · 29/01/2025 16:32

I don’t think he bad mouthed Diana - just admitted that when the marriage became irreparable he had an affair with Camilla (hey at least he was honest).

Kanga was another woman.

So about a third of the affairs that Diana had

He had a relationship with Kanga in the 1970s 😂

He was a single man!!

So apparently he had Kanga and Camilla on the go at once not Diana!

Weren't there Kanga and Camilla overlaps, with Camilla taking steps to assert herself as mistress-in-chief?

Seriously??!

Do you think a theory that involves a false moustache on Princess Diana is serious. (Obviously with her hair, she’d disguise herself as George Michael.)

I think that's what happened!

He had plenty of girlfriends as a young man, but he was free and single at the time!

Sowing his wild oats (awful expression), as advised by his mentor, the aptly named Uncle Dickie (I titter at this in a manner unseemly for my age 🙃).

cavalier · 29/01/2025 17:39

I don’t think she was she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, bless her heart if she thought she was gonna be killed off I’m sure she would’ve put a seatbelt on anyway. Sadly it was a fella who had drunk too much got in the car drove too fast anyway the tunnel looks absolutely like a death trap with a bend in it anyway so I really don’t think she was killed. It’s just so many papers that theory

quantumbutterfly · 29/01/2025 17:45

Kanga died a few months after Di. Very tidy.

30 years. For goodness sake let it rest. No one comes out of this well. She would have lived if she’d been wearing a seat belt or not got in the car and the driver hadn’t been drunk.
I don’t believe in conspiracies.

iowgirl1 · 29/01/2025 17:54

She got into a car with a drunk driver and didn't wear a seatbelt. Tragically - it happens. The passengers with seatbelts on survived. Personally I wish Harry had channelled his energies into promoting the importance of seatbelts , which could have saved other lives

Why stop there? Prince Philip killed a Diana lookalike to provide the body to be substituted, the real Diana lives in rural seclusion on a South American estate with Shergar and Lord Lucan, and acted as an advisor to recent seasons of The Crown under the pseudonym Di Didden-Dye.

RH1234 · 29/01/2025 18:04

Listen to the audiobook:
The Murder of Princess Diana by Noel Botham

I don’t know how I feel about Diana’s death, but it’s a good listen anyway! Although terrible narrator.

PetuniaT · 29/01/2025 18:06

She was killed because she wasn't wearing a seat belt and her driver was on drugs and alcohol if you remember. Get over it!

fingerbobz · 29/01/2025 18:49

How could anyone have planned that car crash?

She wasn't even supposed to be in Paris. She was supposed to fly back to the UK but the Al Fayeds had other plans for her and persuaded her to stop in Paris at the last minute

Did Al Fayad kill her?

maryanne3 · 29/01/2025 18:50

The sad thing is people like Princess Diana are not that powerful and influential. She got a lot of publicity, and certain sectors of the population worshipped her like a goddess; but like most mega-celebrities (think Brigid Bardot and animal rights, or Geldof and aid for developing countries) the capitalists behind the arms trade are quite happy to let them carry on, and gain their 20 mins of fame. Some of them even join in their causes, because they know, in the long run, they won't touch them. They had no need to kill Diana.
The truth is accidents occasionally happen. She was hounded by the press, and took risks to evade them; she put her trust in a shyster (Fayed) who fancied himself as a knight in shining armour and cut corners with her safety to pander to his own vanity. He pressured a driver who had been drinking to rush her away from the paparazzi, in a busy city subway. The driver hit a pillar. It happens, nobody had to arrange it, nor had any particular interest in doing so.
It is always the case that famous sudden deaths, particularly of much loved attractive people, cause conspiracy theories. Marilyn Monroe was killed by the Kennedys, Kurt Cobain was murdered by Courtney Love. What is much harder for some people to accept is that sometimes car crashes and suicides happen; they are banal, and being famous and pretty does not guarantee you an interesting death.

Teddybear23 · 29/01/2025 19:00

I watched the documentary on her death and am 100% convinced she was murdered. There really is SO much we were not told and still probably don’t know that shows a cover up. Eg one French man went to the police just after the accident to give his account of what he saw and the police told him to go home! That’s just one small fact that proves there was something going on that we didn’t know about.

Well I am 100% convinced she was not!

Nobody even knew she was going to be in that particular location at that particular time. It was a last minute change of plan.

To "murder" someone via a car crash seems a pretty stupid way of doing it - in this case, if Diana had been wearing a seat belt, she would probably have lived.

It's utter nonsense to think she was murdered!

As they say, she would, wouldn't she.

And so would Charles
