Not missing the point at all but that’s to do with how you treat people on an individual basis. Generally speaking, a hybrid approach works best for most people as it ticks the majority of boxes. How individuals are treated then comes down to the company/manager.

However, you started the conversation as a generalist ‘I don’t think companies should do XYZ’ and a generalist response is that it’s not a bad thing to encourage most people back to the office and that if it’s in your contract you might have to suck it up.
