Embarrassing problem

Feel very embarrassed, but also a bit worried.

For a while now I’ve felt a sort of thin, quite hard, maybe two thing I think coming out of my bum 😩 I can’t see what it is and really worried to look, but can feel it if i’m lay down and check.
So hard to explain, is it piles? Or something worse?
I read piles is like grapes? It’s not like that, more like a thin, quite hard thing, freaking me out 🥲

If it's piles or haemmorrhoids, it's typical that most GPs will freeze them off at a standard consultation or arrange to have you go somewhere nearby to have it done the next day.

Get it checked by the GP then you will have peace of mind. I know it is embarrassing as it is your bottom but I can assure you the GP has seen it all before and this is the only way you will know for certain.

are you in the UK? the NHS wouldn’t do that and it definitely won’t be next day! GP would refer to hospital for a colorectal surgeon or proctologist to sort if it can’t be managed conservatively.

OP please go to the GP, they deal with these things all the time so please don’t be embarrassed!

No ... eastern Australia

My GP has an online consultation system where you fill in a form and attach a photo. They will diagnose and treat from this if they can, or they may phone with some questions or ask you to come in. If you do have to go in they already know what the problem is. Somehow that seems easier than explaining in person.

Sounds amazing if the GP will do that there and then! Wish they did things like that here

Most multi GP practices will ... personal experience 15 or so years with just such a 'delicately located' "offender". <grin>

If you don't fancy seeing your GP there are private GP's online - Livi are £45 for a private, online GP appointment.
Not sure how it would work - getting your bum out remotely - maybe a case of sending a picture.

@Ohwhatnowthenffs What was it in the end? Was it an anal skin tag? Did you get it removed via surgery?
