I feel pissed because Tomorrow I was supposed to be going on holiday for New Year

My holiday got cancelled on Boxing Day just after the final ticket e'mail came through. They had double booked the Chalet. My £3000 flights are still booked, feel like turning up to chalet anyway and knocking the door down. I am so angry, how can they do this to people.

Are the flights to Geneva?

put a post up on chaletsdirect.com. You will definitely get a last minute chalet for new year.

I honestly spend all day looking for an alternative, nothing was available, Hotel or Chalet. I had no idea how full Ski resorts are at New Year.

I thought it was strange too but that's what all the locals are calling it.

Goodness me, I'm sorry this has happened to you but really, do you live at the ass-end of nowhere?

I was out in my heavily-touristed city yesterday and the whole place was heaving.
It was like swimming through a shoal of fish to get to where I was headed.

Tourism is the nr. 1 "business" in the world and I think post Covid people are realising "It's now or never".

If you’ve got £3k to spend on flights
surely you can find some £ for somewhere else to stay? Assuming you’ve been refunded for the accommodation?

or claim on travel insurance?

Edited

Just because someone has spent money doesn’t mean they have a magic money tree. I almost lost a £3k holiday due to heavy snow in NYC and weather isn’t covered by insurance. I couldn’t have coughed up another £3k as I had been saving for 2 years.
