It’s just us at home.
I assumed there be lots of leftovers, some beef, potatoes and sprouts, but not enough for meals. We have some cheese from the cheese board, millions of crackers, some good bread, then the usual..eggs, pasta etc
Was hoping to get a few days out of not having to go to the shops and get more.
Wondering whether to just get some nice ham and have ham & mustard sandwiches, def not cooking today!

We order pizza every Boxing Day.

Not sure how it's become a 'tradition', but in the last few years it has.

That to me sounds utterly blissful.

teatoast8 · 26/12/2024 12:11

Left overs

Mashroom · 26/12/2024 12:11

We go for a second Christmas dinner but I cook the veg and potatoes fresh again.

biscuitsandbooks · 26/12/2024 12:11

No idea - we don't have any leftovers as there's only two of us, so we don't buy much. We have plenty of food in, though.

GreatBigBeautifulTommorow · 26/12/2024 12:13

Cheese board for lunch
buffet for tea
trifle later if we do fit it in.

BobbyBiscuits · 26/12/2024 12:14

Turkey and ham with slightly stale bagels and focaccia. I tried really hard not create a mountain of leftovers as we are going out tomorrow so won't be eating at all at home. But I'm gonna have to plough through a load of cold roast potatoes, flat Yorkshire puddings and sprouts! I'm quite pleased I managed to cook everything despite having a bit of a cold.

MuddlingThroughLife · 26/12/2024 12:16

Turkey and chips!

luckylavender · 26/12/2024 12:24

Turkey & chips

ItOnlyTakesTwoMinutes · 26/12/2024 12:25

Went out to a restaurant yesterday and it was dire! So I’m doing a full on Christmas lunch today to get my fix!

Beezknees · 26/12/2024 12:27

Picky bits as usual for boxing day. I have leftover turkey, ham, prawns, cheese and crackers, chicken bites, halloumi fries, spring rolls, breadsticks and dip, plenty of crisps and chocolates, apple crumble and cream. And of course baileys and prosecco.

Goody2ShoesAndTheFilthyBeast · 26/12/2024 12:28

I had croissants for breakfast and am currently having some baileys chocolates and a cup of tea for lunch. I'll be having leftovers with chapatis for dinner.

And more chocolates.

I used to make a pizza with all the leftovers. Pigs in blankets on a pizza is heaven.

Paperpensanddustmotes · 26/12/2024 12:35

I started the morning being brought a crisp bacon, egg and brown sauce sandwich in bed and I'll probably pick on leftover olives, cheese and quality street later.

Barney16 · 26/12/2024 12:35

Mad weird combination of left overs and what's in the freezer. Roast lamb with yesterdays left over veg, chilli, ratatouille, baked spuds and garlic bread. Cake and fruit compote or apple pie. I worked right up to Xmas day and that's the best I can conjure up.

Deadringer · 26/12/2024 12:38

We get a big enough turkey and ham so that we have enough for a second Christmas dinner today. It's actually usually nicer for some reason. We have salmon in for tomorrow then it will be a chinese takeaway the next night. Yum

Emmadaily · 26/12/2024 13:00

I brought a plate of Christmas Dinner leftovers yesterday from my daughters so will be another Christmas Dinner with biscoff cheesecake made by my grandson .
Getting hungry writing this .

JM88Jen · 26/12/2024 13:09

For lunch we have had bake at home baguettes filled with turkey, stuffing, mayo and cranberry.

Tonight, we have curry

MereDintofPandiculation · 26/12/2024 13:12

The whole purpose of Christmas dinner is to create leftovers Grin But we're short of cold cooked sprouts because I had the munchies late last night.

Breakfast was the usual oats with fruit and buts, but then I felt peckish and topped up with two bacon sandwiches - the bread left over from the bread sauce and the streaky bacon from on top of the turkey. Not surprisingly I have no appetite for lunch.

00deed1988 · 26/12/2024 13:13

Having a mini roast for lunch with left over sausage meat, stuffing balls and pigs in blankets and then I am attempting home made pasta for the first time and using left over beef and pork to made a slow cooked ragu with garlic bread! I think I am looking forward to it more than the main event yesterday.

JustSaltPlease · 26/12/2024 13:15

A plate full of everything here

What are you eating today?
ssd · 26/12/2024 13:21

We have no left overs but those here who do should watch jamies xmas shortcuts earlier

mamaduckbone · 26/12/2024 13:22

We've had bacon and eggs for brunch and it's rib of beef for dinner later

MrsSkylerWhite · 26/12/2024 13:23

Cold ham, cold turkey, smoked salmon, pate, cheese, crisps, etc.

Allnewtometoo · 26/12/2024 13:24

So far - leftover roast beef sandwich. Lindt balls.

Fairislesweater · 26/12/2024 13:25

We’ve enough leftover for a second Christmas dinner tonight with a couple of family members we didn’t see yesterday. However I may not be hungry enough as I’ve just had a cheeseboard lunch and a fuckton of chocolate
