Finished the food shop this morning, work finished, friends meet ups done. Took Dd for Christmas treat at cafe today, now cuddled up watching a kids film, maybe dog walk on the beach later.
Tomorrow..dog walk, making mince pies & gingerbread, xmas eve movies & dinner

What are your plans for today & tomorrow? Wondering if we should be doing more??

Did the food shop this morning at 6am! Came home, cleaned fridges, put it all way. Then packed all children into car to go to English heritage/national trust Christmas thing. Got there for 10 and stayed until about 2. Now in huge soft play/slide place, before taking kids for tea and that back to attraction for light trail. We will be back between 9-10. I will make some biscuit and gingerbread dough and then collapse into bed!

Tomorrow is husband's turn. He will take the four of them out for a few hours, while I attempt to clean the house, hide the laundry and do some prep! Then new PJs, bath and movie!

It's actually a bit much, but Christmas seems to have come really quickly after breaking up from school!

Working both days.

Today, ds and I picked up last shopping bits and I have been doing last of tidying/organising. DH was working - finished at 2ish. He has had two very late nights as he was helping take down a Christmas Market.

So, now we are home, only a quick hoover/dust round to do this afternoon.

Then, meatballs for tea and the all creatures great and small Christmas special later 😁

Tomorrow will be finishing wrapping, my parents are popping round with presents, possibly a friend too. Then party tea just the three of us and a Christmas film.

I work today and tomorrow so today I have hearings this afternoon and tomorrow I'll be writing the decisions for the hearings that I have so that my appellants don't have to wait until after I get back from my week off to have their issues decided.

I will be baking cookies in the evening today and probably also tomorrow.

Kids are in nursery and partner is working so I've booked myself 3 hours to use the facilities at a local spa hotel.

Coming to the end of my second maternity leave, haven't had an unbroken night's sleep in 18 months, and just had an Incredibly stressful house move.....it's my Christmas present to myself!!

Went to work this morning, went in extra early so I could leave by lunch time. Picked up the last few food stuffs from the shop, went home and took the tree (that OH went out to get this morning, as the one he bought earlier was too dry and dying, and now we somehow have three trees) inside, vacuumed and mopped and then we all decorated the tree. Helped DD make joulutorttu (Christmas star tarts), finished last of the wrapping.

Now just waiting for the sauna to be ready, then we'll go to sauna, eat pizzas and watch a Christmas film.

Tomorrow is the big day for us as we celebrate Christmas Eve so I'll be doing all that Christmas stuff.

I went to the gym and then went to work. Took in an Asda delivery then drove to my friend's house with part of it. I'm working again this evening.

Tomorrow I'm going to Aqua Aerobics and waiting for the plumber to come and fix my kitchen tap.

Dog at the vet this morning after eating poo and giving himself the squits (nice). Did food shopping, wrapped presents, Christmas run with club tonight.
Tomorrow, coffee and shops, food prep, Christmas Eve church service, chilled meal.

Tomorrow DP and I will be preparing boxing day veggie/ vegan options and boxing day desserts for 24. Will also be delivering presents, need to get some bread and make us a pavlova for Xmas day.

Working and feeling unwell. Still got cooking to do. Looking forward to a rest.

Getting ready for a small drinks party at ours with local friends. DC are at cinema with their GPs. Right now enjoying a cuppa and a mince pie while DH wraps the kids' presents. Tomorrow will involve a bit of prep (peeling potatoes etc) but otherwise I think Xmas Eve is a special day to be enjoyed so we'll be going for a walk, having a sherry with neighbours, listening to Carols from King's at 3pm and watching The Snowman at 4pm. Possibly a family film before bed and Santa duty 🤶

Work today and tomorrow

This morning I did 2 loads of washing, wrapped DHs presents and shampooed the lounge carpet. When DH came home from work for his lunch break I nipped to the shops for the couple of bits that were missing from my food delivery yesterday (and got us all Greggs festive bakes on the way home!)

I put DS2 down for a nap and made peppermint creams with DS1. I am now making Jamie Oliver’s get ahead gravy ready for Christmas Day while the kids are watching Ice Age in the background.

Tomorrow morning I will be cleaning and prepping for Christmas Day until 1pm and anything that isn’t done by then can sod off because I’ll be sat on the sofa with the tub of roses for the foreseeable.

Going abroad Friday for New Year so today was supposed to be packing and tomorrow nail appointment and getting goodies to take to family there. However I know have a poorly baby who is requiring lots of mummy cuddles so packing abandoned for today and it's been a cuddles on the sofa day

Working, it's incredibly busy

Catching up with the housework mostly.

Tomorrow will be more housework, dropping into town to update a display and visiting my parents to play Bridge.

Worked today but escaped early and done some cleaning. Tomorrow I have to show my face at work, but don’t expect to be there long, then I’ll finish the cleaning, and when DH finishes work we’ll be off to the pub to officially start Christmas.

Christmas food shop this morning, now chilling before a few family calls, then some pasta Alfredo and a Christmas movie. Tomorrow - croissants, walk, Paddington movie at the cinema, last minute wrapping and an early night!

I did the grocery shop late last night (Lidl stays open until 10pm where we live)
quiet day here so I washed the sofa covers and cleared part of the kitchen and washed bins (with the full intention of putting my feet up for a few days)

i also wrote a few PowerPoints for work so that’s it until 6th Jan

im getting a wash and blow dry in an hour and dh is bringing the kids out .. so I’ll have a glass of port, put on a bit of tan and watch a movie. Kids seem happy to play with Lego and dh is recovering from a heavy cold but we’ve the fire on and I don’t mind that it’s not an exciting day

3rd night shift tonight, few hours sleep tomorrow. Start getting ready for Xmas day, wrapping presents and housework.

Today - at work til early afternoon, then cleaned the house, later dropping one DC at an activity and collecting another from a different activity.

Tomorrow - at work all day then collect DC from their grandparents on the way home. Then try to get them to go to bed at a reasonable hour so I can make Xmas magic happen before I pass out from tiredness.

Yay Xmas!

We have a long drive tomorrow to in-laws. We will be there until the 28th.

Looks like I'll be laying in bed praying the steroids kick in and make me feel human.

But living my life via mumsnet and all the fab things you have planned.

I've spent most of the day in bed as I'm between nights, in tonight again and will finish at 7am tomorrow morning.

I've choreographed numerous cleaning tasks from my bed via an elaborate series of WhatsApp's (DS) and post it notes (DH) so I expect to descend the stairs any minute to an oasis of calm and tranquility 😉

Tomorrow I'll sleep for a few hours, then get up and walk the dogs, then we're going into town for a couple drinks with neighbours and home for an Indian. DS will be at work till 8pm and I shall retire early as I'll be tired by then.
