AIBU to complain about book display

Visited the library today to get the kids some books to read over the holidays. They had a display of recipe/diet/cook books in the entrance. I was quite taken aback to see Gregg Wallace on the front cover of one of the books, I didn’t say anything but surely the library staff are aware of the news? I don’t think the council should be promoting him, surely no one is going to take the book out anyway.

He'll get about 2p if someone borrows it.

So many authors have unsavoury pasts or are horrible people. Ian Fleming, author of the James Bond books was a sadistic, woman hating man.

Should his books be banned? Ditto the many authors who we now know to be racist or sexist. Should we ban their books?
I loved Good Evening Mrs Craven by Mollie Panter Downe published by the feminist Persephone publishing group. I loved it and ordered another and stumbled across the casual use of the N word by one of the characters. I was completely shocked and through the book away. It was unfortunately a product of its time. However, so many nineteenth and twentieth century authors hold views that are completely at odds with today's values.Should we ban them?
Banning/ burning books smacks of Nazi Germany or the McCarthyism in America searching out authors with communist views.
It is a very slippery slope
