I thought boomers were up to 1964, BBC news had an article about "Alphas". In which boomers were designated as born between 1940 and 1960, so I am an "X" now. Given the resentments that exist towards "Boomers", maybe it is for the best.

I see you've already confirmed but I knew as soon as I read it that you'd be close in age to me - mid Gen X.

But that was also me and my cousins and we are supposed to be Baby boomers

That’s it I think there’s not that much difference necessarily tbh between early 70s born and 60s/50s born boomers

I can't find anything on the BBC News site about this..

But anyway, whilst I (born early 60's) was growing up, the 1960s were never considered part of the Baby Boom generation and I certainly don't feel in the least like (what I consider) a typical 'Boomer'.
Not quite sure I feel a Generation X either though, but there is far more more connection with them than with someone born in the 40's.

Boomer generation refers to the baby boom following WW2 so I don’t see how it can include anyone born in the 60s or 70s.

It doesn’t include anyone born after 1964.

I kind of think this too even though it technically extends to 64
