Male police officers can strip-search women under new guidance issued by the British Transport Police (BTP)

The guidance, allows male staff to intimately search women so long as they have a gender recognition certificate (GRC).

The lack of common sense and basic safeguarding is gobsmacking. We've heard nothing but accusations of violence against women coming from the police this year, yet this is considered safe practice.

I'm just not clear how this can pass the sort of things that need to be passed? Like health and safety? Like safeguarding? Surely?
