Male police officers can strip-search women under new guidance issued by the British Transport Police (BTP)

The guidance, allows male staff to intimately search women so long as they have a gender recognition certificate (GRC).

Horrendous.

This is disgraceful. Males with the legal fiction that is the Gender Recognition Certificate are still biological males. They may be 'legally' female but this should not give the right to do roles reserved for women.

Hopefully the FWS case at the Supreme Court will put paid to this nonsense.

In any event British Transport Police is in the wrong. The Equality Act allows people with a GRC to be excluded from sex specific roles. They are choosing to ignore this exemption to favour the males.

So we should all email the BTS to ask why it is they think it is appropriate for women to be strip searched by biological males?

It's almost like they hate women.

Make that Genitalia Removed Certificate.

It's obviously opening a door to sexual assault and unsafe conditions for women.

Everyone should write to their MP.

There is no such requirement.

That is why GRCs needs to go. There should never be such a thing as legally female. There is your sex (two possibilities) full stop. But then that situation risks welcoming in self-id....🙄🙄. Can I get off this time line yet?
