I'm sure this is a stupid question but I would know if Dc had broken their arm right?

DD was playing in the garden on the trampoline (all has safety nets etc). She came running in crying saying she had fallen and hurt her arm. The way she reacted was just strange compared to how she normally is when she's hurt, her cry was different and she's very shakey. I've moved her wrist around and she says that doesn't hurt, but she keeps moving her arm in to different positions like she's trying to get comfortable. When I touch it she says it doesn't hurt but she says it hurts inside. I'm guessing if it was broken I wouldn't be able to touch it and it would hurt when I moved her wrist? Not sure if we need to get it checked out or wait an hour or so to see if it's just the shock of falling that's upset her

Glad you got it checked out OP and hope your DD feels better soon.

My tale. My best friend (11) was on holiday with me and my DP’s a few years ago in Southern Ireland (republic of). We happily skipped down a wooden jetty one sunny day on the beach, but some of the slats were rotten or rotting which we didn’t see. My friend slipped through one dislocating her knee, the bone came out in the knee area. DM got it back in with help of a damp towel and my friend didn’t mention it throughout the holiday so DM figured it was ok and no need for hospital. I actually landed up in hospital in isolation for a week a week later with severe gastroenteritis on a drip and lost half a stone in weight so it’s not like we hadn’t been near a hospital. When my friend got home about a week or so later her own DM had to take her to hospital as there was a fracture or break there.

Glad you got it checked. Both times my DD broke her wrist/ arm there was no swelling or bruising and she could move ut a little bit. I didn't think she had broken them either time but got checked just incase. It's definitely a lesson that not all fractures look like you would expect.

Hope your DD has a quick recovery
