Dh changes around full moon

I realise this may sound crazy, but I’ve noticed a change in Dh just before a full moon…no he doesn’t change into a wolf 😁
In all seriousness though, he becomes different, quite angry and mean and a bit out of it really

It’s more likely that he suffers from some kind of cyclic / manic depression. Or something happens once a month that makes him lose his rag.

Ask any teacher ..

SashMontgomery · 18/10/2024 00:17

He is manstrating

MaMisled · 18/10/2024 00:18

I've worked in dementia units for many many years and yes, the agitation and distress increases greatly at full moon.

discoballdave · 17/10/2024 23:33

Yep. Ask anyone who works in a bar, the police, NHS etc and they'll tell you when a full moon hits before they know there is one.

Or a school!

Non diagnosed

bakersmidden · 18/10/2024 00:32

Yes! My DH today and tonight has been really snappy! Usually a darling. I'm going to pay attention from now on. He's not unusually hairy though....

ReadingSoManyThreads · 18/10/2024 00:33

Well that explains my snappiness this evening! That and oncoming PMT.

Wouldhateaspaday · 18/10/2024 00:35

@sarahzbaker Hes undiagnosed bipolar?

OP posts:
FrangipaniBlue · 18/10/2024 01:03

DH gets my PMT...... I can tell you within 24hrs before I get cramps or anything that I'm going to start my period because he's a grump and the Dog is like a limpet 😂

Elphamouche · 18/10/2024 01:13

Yep Ex emergency call handler here. The full moons are a nightmare.

Growlybear83 · 18/10/2024 01:21

When my mum was in a dementia care home, several of the carers told me that the residents were always badly affected by the full moon and became far more aggressive and agitated. They always tried to have as many staff on duty as possible.

Sunnyperiods · 18/10/2024 02:22

”Some men are hairy on the inside”, OP!

Don’t more women go into labour when it’s a full moon? Or is it during a storm? I can’t remember.

This theory has been debunked.
Although I'd love to believe it.
The full moon affects my sleep, hence I am awake and writting this to you.
I think they proved it affects people with Bipolar.(Hoping that's the right wording.)

offyoujollywelltrot · 18/10/2024 02:37

MANSTRUATION

BibbityBobbityToo · 18/10/2024 02:39

Anyone who has ever worked in a care home or hospital will agree!

Its so true. I'm an ex emergency call handler too! We had a policy in our station specifically around how many people could take annual leave from the control room on a full moon. I had been turned down annual leave on that basis. I didnt mind. On a full moon, emergency calls just go up. Calls of every kind. And every colleague had a different theory, but to the force, the theory was irrelevant, we cared only about the numbers. And having enough staff!

Avanet · 18/10/2024 03:51

Mine had a bath, a shave, a vegetarian snack and has been more smiley than usual. Reverse werewolf?

A weremouse, perhaps?

madamepresident · 18/10/2024 05:44

I used to work in a pre- school and you could always tell when there was a full moon

Christmastinsel78 · 18/10/2024 05:46

I used to work in mental health and you could always tell when there was a full moon as behaviours would get worse.

malificent7 · 18/10/2024 05:59

Yup...it's a thing. I used to work in A and E. Dh and I get more stressy, I had dd on a full moon ( she was 2 weeks late) and the drivers on the road are erratic.
