There used to be a really sweet lad who appeared on the streets begging about 20 yrs ago.
He had no drug habit {then}
He'd left home after his mum died- and had a nasty stepdad.
People from street agencies swept in to try to ''save'' him.
Really experienced teams and counsellors tried to help.
He became addicted to to class A's as was targeted by dealers - as he was so 'cute' he got tons of ''drops'' - while I was talking with him {he loved my dogs} he'd get drops of paper money.
People never gave up trying to help him.
Tragically he died, despite everyone's best efforts
Sometimes 'Demons' are too big.
I like to think of him now, reunited with his Mum - and he's doubtless helping look after my departed dogs that he loved.
After he'd died the local paper and shop where he sold 'Big issue' did a memorial for him.
His favourite charity was ''Street Vet {animals}'' where people donated in his memory.
