I am a disabled mum. I get PIP and LCWRA. To be honest I think I get a lot more money than I deserve. A couple of years ago I could treat myself and get my nails done etc. I always make sure my daughter comes first, we do so many classes and activities. I just can’t work due to the complexity of my disabilities.
After a relationship I dress like a scruff now and won’t buy myself a thing. I just don’t feel I deserve it. He would get me to pay for everything despite being on a good wage. I just don’t know how to feel myself again as I feel like I deserve nothing.

Would you consider volunteering?? Could be online I imagine?

Zero judgment here. I have an invisible disability that makes working full time impossible for me and my entire life I have been in denial about it and hoping it will magically go away.

Now that I have made peace with it I think my fate is just working part-time and being poor because from my understanding it is very difficult to get pip if you look "normal". I am just glad that there are people out there who are disabled and that doesn't mean that they only get enough money to survive, everyone deserves to be able to treat themselves and afford things that makes them happy.

@Purpledinosaur1990 everyone will hate themselves at some point thinking someone is better. But they're not. A lawyer might be 'better' but we need bin men and factory workers and every job just as much. Everyone has a part to play. Be proud of who you are, what you are achieving it's great. And if anyone suggests a disability is laziness then they need a slap.
