AIBU to think that if you live together in a partnership and share a child/children, it’s not ok, with four hours notice to text ‘I am off out tonight so won’t be home.’

Curious about if other people would be irked.

I nearly did make something up just to make a point but decided to be more grown up. Now the bar for collaboration and communication has been set, I will be sure to make use of it. Just going to see what is on at the cinema.

Unless you had previously told them you would be out this is just aggressive and unnecessary. Why try to make an argument. It doesn’t take both of you to be there every night so no reason to never go out
