AIBU to think that I might be a bit young for a 'winter sun' holiday?

Lighthearted: My parents want DH and me to come with them on a week's 'winter sun' holiday in December in Spain. DH thinks it would be nice, but I can't really imagine it and view these kinds of holidays as kind of a retiree thing. The weather won't be hot enough (22 degrees ish) to do much swimming/water activities, and I'm not really sure what I would do all week. We're in our late 20s. AIBU to think we're a bit young for this?

You should definitely stay in the UK & freeze, rather than go to Spain, because you are young.

As I've said before, it's not between going to Spain and staying in the UK to freeze. I have to pay for this holiday and take annual leave, so it's going here with my parents or doing something more up my alley. I'm only considering it in the first place because my parents would like us to come. They are pretty set on this though 😅 I don't think trying to divert elsewhere would work. They go every year now and apparently love it.

I’ve done Greece in November, and it was warm enough to swim, spent all holiday in Summer clothes. Stayed in Athens, but had a couple of days on nearby coast. I was 22, climbed the Acropolis, went to Mycenae, Delphi, Corinth, did a couple of days visiting nearby islands. It was more about exploring a different country, different culture, and you are never to young or to old to do this. However, a Brit filled Spanish resort would be my idea of hell regardless of age, or time of year😱
