As for the comments about her being "saddled" with him in a mobility scooter and her looking like his carer, well you're all a sad bunch. There are many disabled people on here of all ages, some need aids such as a wheelchair, mobility scooter and their loved ones are very much NOT saddled with them. They are not a burden to their loved ones. Please be more mindful about making comments like these and who might be reading them!

I read today her first husband was 59 and a bus driver and she was 19 - so perhaps she has a thing for aul fellas.

Do you know how offensive it is for anyone caring/in a relationship with etc a disabled adult? It's a walking frame.
So according to this thread people shouldn't be with anyone with mobility issues. People shouldn't be a carer for their partner. Mobility aids, that now do conveniently fold down for easy carrying shouldn't be used and those using them aren't quite equal humans.
No-one knows Ruth behind closed doors. How many abusive men are active in their communities and everyone thinks they are great?
As for him trading down. She's attractive. She's a Mum of three children, she went into further education after having her first as a teen and works full time. She isn't a one dimensional cardboard cup out. Most women, even attractive ones can't usually be do easily reduced.

If Eamonn's back and hips feel anywhere near as painful as mine do I suspect the physical attractiveness of his companion is a complete irrelevance. I just need someone to assist me sometimes. Maybe he does as well and she's happy to do that.
