To be sickened by a couple who piles on the PDA every time one of them gets up to go to the toilet?

I’m currently in a restaurant, and there’s a couple at a nearby table who are going overboard with the PDA. Every time one of them gets up to go to the toilet, they kiss, hug, and basically act like they won’t see each other again for years! It’s making the atmosphere uncomfortable, and I feel like I can’t enjoy my meal without being subjected to it.

AIBU to think this level of PDA is just too much in a public place?

Too much 😬😂 my cousin and her boyfriend do that every Christmas sitting in the middle of the living room with the whole family there. It’s so uncomfortable!

Maybe they had sex the first time they both disappeared and the second and third they’re playing with remote control, um “toys@?

We used to double date with a couple like this. It was cringe inducing stuff.

This reminds me of sitting in a pub years ago with my parents, there was a couple at the next table all over each other, my mum made such comments as

“well their hardly spring chickens are they!”

”That definitely ain’t his wife the way they are carrying on!”

”I thought he was gonna have her over the fucking table!”

It genuinely feels like the PDA is excessive. I’m not making it up, just sharing what’s happening. I’ll try to be more precise if they keep this up!

They look like they’re in their late 20s. We’re not in a fast-food place, just a normal restaurant where their PDA is increasingly hard to ignore

I think maybe it just feels like five mins to you. Because basically you have told us In 30 mins, they’ve spent 15 in the toilet and 7 kissing, so less than 7 mins at their table.
