We had him measured today for school
shoes and he’s a size 1, when I looked online it said that was typical for an 8 year old!
Is this foot size unusual on such a young child?! He’s one of the tallest in his class too so I guess that plays a part.

Ds8 is in size four adult shoes 🙈. We have a joke that whatever year he is in he'll match the shoe size 🤣 tbh they've always been very broad and chunky so need wide fitting as well

I have big footed children. Neither could fit into the first walker shoes in clarks when they started walking. From adult size 4 you have to pay vat, which was a fun surprise. Also that they expect sandals to become flip flops or sliders long before the child is ready.

4, almost 5, year old is size 1 and 8 year old size 5. It's bigger than average but not unusual!

Sounds like DD, she's 10 now and wearing adult size 6.
