Just that really! Can anyone tell me if they are reliable, thinking this would be a good idea for school? Best ones to buy for my girl please.
Thanks

My tween uses these. We found wuka leaked, so only use those for lighter days. For heavy flow she uses the modibodi red range especially designed for teens. We still occasionally have leaks overnight (but she can be really heavy!). For school she does as others do, starts with a pad, disposes it at lunch time and just wears the pants without pad for the rest of the day. The John Lewis Luna range are cheap and good for lighter flow as well. She switches her brand throughout the course of her periods.

were about to order the period swimwear now as she has been invited to an event when she will be on heavy.

My d has used them for a long time now as she started when she was young. They are great for heavy nights and as a back up. Also good for days close to the first day.

She definitely uses them with pads at school but also relies on them for lighter days and the ending days.

I leave a bucket in the bathroom so they can get soaked/rinsed out quickly.

I originally ordered Modibodi I think from Australia via instagram in the early days, also because they have very young-appeal patterned ones and boy shorts for the less girliegirl inclined. We also got some more from her school - maybe they are wuka?

Best to get a tester amount of a type and see how she gets on with them and then try others? Modibodi felt initially quite expensive but they seemed to be high quality & I think they've lasted incredibly well - but maybe because I have followed the specific washing/drying instructions fairly closely.

I do dry them in the sun whenever I can and not directly on a radiator as this lowers the life of whatever this magical textile is made out of. This means sometimes I hang them on a hanger in the airing cupboard rather than directly onto the radiator. Some have lasted a really long time, I also mend them as well. Amazing product; I wish I had had them when I was her age.

@theteddybear For my DD the biggest reason for using a pad with the pants at school is to deal with any possible odour and to not need to put used pants in her school bag. That can especially be an issue in summer. Everything gets hot and sweaty and stinky, even with air conditioned classrooms. Lunch breaks are out in the heat and humidity. At home or during the holidays she just uses the pants.

My daughter has Wuka pants. She also got the bikini bottoms for our holidays which were amazing. They’ve been great so far. I bought the school set which they often have on offer. They come with a little pouch, although they do last her a full school day so she’s not used it yet. They don’t smell as far as I know and she’s had no leaks. The only downside is they take a week to arrive.

DD(17) has been wearing period pants for 4+ years. They are a gamechanger!

Modibodi do a teen range ("Red"?), which is what we started with.
They are robust underpants. We went for a mix of bikini briefs along with boyleg for nights as a starter set. I recommend boylegs if DD is a bit of a rough sleeper.

She had a few pairs from M&S, but the elastic waistband started to disintegrate after a dozen washes so we won't bother to buy them again.

A couple of years ago DD also had some Uniqlo Airism ones to try (thank you Mumsnet). To my mind, the "pad" is less conspicuous and they have lasted well. The smallest "XS" size might be too big for a young girl though.

I think it might have been WUKA that sell fabric pads for regular pants, but DD didn't want to try those.

Just remember not to use fabric conditioner when washing them.

DD(12) started her period 2 years ago. She's had Modi Bodi pants from pretty much the beginning, based on recommendations from MN. They have never caused her any problems. Sometimes she puts a pad in to start, then throws it away a few hours later. She also has there's
