the Easten European scrote who grabbed my sisters hand bag at Holburn station today.
But hayho we have to be nice to these vermin or we are called racist.
Sister now has to cancel all her cards change her locks and was stranded with no money, no cards and no oyster card as that we in the bag.

I hope the fuckwit that took the bag falls under a fucking train.

OP posts:
Coca · 15/04/2008 18:36

it wasn't her bag and several people have expressed sympathy for her sister.

Coca · 15/04/2008 18:37

alright two people.

JeremyVile · 15/04/2008 18:39

Well, yes, I do feel for your sister.
(3 people)

Twiglett · 15/04/2008 18:49

fucking hell

if someone nicked my bag I'd be angry at the fucking thief, not at an entire race or area of the world

there is a huge difference between anger at an individual doing a bad thing and bloody racism and it's not about being PC, it's about being a human being with an appropriate view of the rest of humanity

PABLOP · 15/04/2008 18:53

Well said Twiglett!

Agree with JeremyVile why namechange?

claricebeansmum · 15/04/2008 18:54

Agree with Twiglett

madamez · 15/04/2008 19:00

Nasty little thieving tossers come in all races, shapes, sizes and ages. As do nice people. Having a bag pinched is horrible but racist ranting about it kind of reduces any sympathy you might get.

southeastastra · 15/04/2008 19:09

well maybe my view of humanity is different to yours. probably be branded a racist myself now.

Twiglett · 15/04/2008 19:12

so SEA if a bicycle rider nicked your handbag would you call all bicycle riders vermin?

southeastastra · 15/04/2008 19:13

maybe in the heat of the moment and i posted on here with it, yes.

hercules1 · 15/04/2008 19:14

I think you lost it when you said you have to be nice to the vermin otherwise you'd be called a racist. You werent refering to thiefs here but Eastern Europeans.

hercules1 · 15/04/2008 19:15

If a fat person pushed in front of you in a queue?
If an elderly person said something rude to you?

Twiglett · 15/04/2008 19:18

heat of the moment does not encompass getting home, turning on PC and writing a post

southeastastra · 15/04/2008 19:22

look, all i was trying to do was defend the op who was imo jumped on. don't know why, they haven't come back.

but i wouldn't have put 'But hayho we have to be nice to these vermin or we are called racist'.

lulumama · 15/04/2008 19:27

i am of eastern european descent ( great grandparents) , am pretty sure they weren't vermin .. oh sorry, yes they were ! that is how hitler described jews in his propoganda

am very sorry your sisters bag got snatched, it must have been very frightening and scary. and the inconvenience that follows too

but no need to label an entire race and part of europe in taht derogatory way

plenty of white british people are thieves and muggers too

hercules1 · 15/04/2008 19:29

I agree southeastra that she doesnt deserve to be jumped on for using his race (if she's right) to describe him. Why she felt the need to use his race though I dont know what difference it makes to the story. (horrible thing to happen obviously) but the line about the vermin was outright racist.

LittleBella · 15/04/2008 19:34

Er, if you call a whole race vermin, it's pretty conclusive evidence that you are a racist actually, which is why you are called racist.

Vermin is a particularly nasty thing to call anyone as it is how the Nazis referred to Jews in WWII. Anyone using that terminology, is tapping straight into a really, really deep well of resonance and shouldn't be surprised if they get short shrift. Call it PC gorn mad if you want to.

southeastastra · 15/04/2008 20:11

just want to make it clear i never called anyone vermin

branflake81 · 15/04/2008 20:14

Bit harsh there

some of my best friends are eastern europeans and as far as I know none is a bag thief.

beaniesteve · 15/04/2008 20:19

their nationality has nothing whatsoever to do with their crime. Even bringing their nationality into this is racist unless using it as an identifier when informing the police.

staryeyed · 15/04/2008 20:34

We better watch our handbangs round my brothers girlfriend -she's from Poland you know .

What an obvious troll. Noone in their right mind would post something so inflammatory and not expecct to get jumped on.

NotABanana · 15/04/2008 20:49

I may be daft but I felt the Eastern European reference was just for info.

Sorry for your sister.

I had my purse stolen in Belgium and it was really unnerving.

Janni · 15/04/2008 21:03

I think it was the word 'vermin' that caused particular offence

glucose · 15/04/2008 21:08

are there vermin in belgium? a mouse there, where on the stair - no sorry thats Amsterdam

Janni · 15/04/2008 21:12

That there vermin though, glucose; no respect for borders. Today Amsterdam, tomorrow Bruges, then a quick trip over on the Eurostar...
