How much do you earn and how much did you spend on wedding?

Joint income = £160k (but London)
Ages: 29 and 33
Wedding cost: £25k (5k from bride’s parents)

Just curious. So many of the quotes we had were crazy. And obviously Dh and I doing okay financially. Who is spending all this money given the average income?

income: 75k and 125k
wedding: 2k

Would have been more but we had blown every penny on fixing up an ancient house we’d bought the year before.

Now we have a child and a massive mortgage, and I’m retraining so one of those incomes is down to 0 right now, I’m actually very glad we had such a streamlined wedding. I think I’d have regretted it.
