What have you got in your life worth more than £10 million?

On my way to the hospital this morning, if I had been given a choice between £10 million and a clear biopsy, I would have chosen the negative biopsy result, which I now have!

When I was in my 20s and told I was infertile, if I often thought if I was given the choice between £10 million and motherhood, I would chose motherhood, which I then got in my 30s, and still have (adult children now!)

So I have my family I thought I would never have, and i have decades left with them, rather than the few months I was warned might be all that was left.

I have a grand total of £20 million in my pocket this morning! (well, not in cash - but in value!)

What have you got worth more than gold? Lets have a happy thread xx

My dds
My dsd's health condition being in remission

TuesdayWhistler · 28/06/2024 13:45

Time with my kid.

I wouldn't swap it for all the money in the world now or ever.

C1N1C · 28/06/2024 13:56

Can we spend the £20 million to get out of a situation instead???

What do you want to get out of

Congratulations OP! What a lovely post.

My son, my dog, my mum, my cats and the fact that we are all in good health. Also that we live in a relatively safe and stable country overall. I’ll need to bear all this in mind when I don’t win the lottery again this weekend 😂.

Surprisedcupcake · 28/06/2024 14:05

My family for sure but especially my daughter. She means everything to me. And after years of IVF she means all that much more. I've never known a love like it.

1415isgreat · 28/06/2024 14:06

Can’t lie, the 10 mil is more attractive to me than anything I can think off

RosesAndHellebores · 28/06/2024 14:08

My children. For another £10m I'd like ds2 not to have been born with a congenital heart defect incompatible with life.

Rav3 · 28/06/2024 14:09

Children > Family > Cats > Partner

In that order, actually 10million is a lot.

Children > Family > Cat (one’s an arse hole)

KimberleyClark · 28/06/2024 14:10

My DH and my time ( I’m retired).

Furrydogmum · 28/06/2024 14:14

Congratulations on your negative result ❤️ this is a lovely idea for a thread!

My husband, sons, daughter in law, close relationship with parents, siblings and their families, and my dogs and cats are all worth the world to me!

Lifeisamysterytome · 28/06/2024 14:15

What a lovely way to look at life OP.
So much today is about materialism but in reality the things that really matter are just priceless.
So glad you got your children and your health.

clarkkentsglasses · 28/06/2024 14:22

My son.

IamaRevenant · 28/06/2024 14:24

My doggy was worth 10 mil. Don't know if I could have survived some times without her, she always knew when I was sad or ill. I miss her 😢

I am however quite happy to sell my husband right now to any takers for a knockdown price of ten pounds. He'll be a massive drain on you, eat and drink all your food and alcohol and contribute nothing practically or financially (I don't think I'm a natural saleswoman!)

Congratulations OP on your results!

YikesOhMy · 28/06/2024 14:26

Congratulations OP.

I love this thread - what a great way to think about life. For me, so much. My children (obviously), my family, my pets, my health (having been told at 13 i would be in a wheelchair at 21 I'm 35 and still relatively able bodied)

ColinMyWifeBridgerton · 28/06/2024 14:29

my DC and my job.

MissingMoominMamma · 28/06/2024 14:31

Obviously my family, but after that, my mobility (which I almost lost) and my dog.

TheFairyCaravan · 28/06/2024 14:39

My husband, my sons and my grandson. Not only that but my Daughters-in-law and my MIL. They are absolute diamonds and I’m so grateful to have them in my life. My MIL is ailing and it genuinely makes me upset when I think about her not being here anymore.

RobertaFirmino · 28/06/2024 14:41

I have been clean for nearly 15 years. That's worth a billion to me!

KreedKafer · 28/06/2024 15:01

I would rather have my partner in my life than any amount of money in the world. He's just the loveliest, loveliest man on earth and I'm incredibly lucky to have him.

Maybethisyearornext · 28/06/2024 15:17

It is so nice to hear about so many lovely partners, MN sometimes is full of the opposite.

Nothing. I'd take the £10 million

God that's depressing

TotalDramarama24 · 28/06/2024 15:23

Nothing. I would take the £10m. I'd say the same for £5m tbh.

Notmydaughteryoubitch · 28/06/2024 15:28

My DD, my DH, my DB, my close friends and my health.

Compash · 28/06/2024 15:29

Well done, @RobertaFirmino ! That's impressive! 👏

For me, if it was £10 million or perfect eyesight', I'd go for the latter. Had crappy vision all my life, and as I approach 60, it's getting terrifyingly impossible to find glasses that work... Oh to be able to wake in the morning, to swim, knowing I could just... see!
