To be paranoid about my Facebook stalking

Yikes, I was searching for a work client on Facebook who I have never met in person but been on zoom calls with. I have a bit of an innocent crush on him (I'm married, would not act on it) so was looking at his pics for a bit of entertainment (I'm sure we've all been there). But a week or so later I get a notification via email from Facebook of him as a suggested friend. So the question is, would he have also received the same thing but suggesting me as a friend? Or are these suggestions one way only? I have very distinctive name so he will know it's me straight away and might suspect I'd been stalking him. This would be embarrassing and unprofessional. Help.

Ok so I'm not completing reassured by these responses. Not a huge amount I can do about it though. Will have to try and act normal in the next meeting.

The person we bought our house from 3 years ago came up on mine as "people you may know". We definitely don't have any friends in common, I saw it and assumed she had been searching for me (there is literally no other connection whatsoever).

I think you will show up on the people you may know suggestions. I occasionally get some suggestions of people on there who I have no online connection to, and I assume they have searched for me otherwise how would Facebook know that I may know them?

OP, I know it's easy to say but just try not to worry about it. Worst case scenario is he gets the friend suggestion, chuckles and thinks oh gosh she must have looked me up on facebook. Just act normal in meetings with him. Very unlikely indeed that he would directly challenge you and ask you. He will likely raise an eyebrow privately and get on with his day. He might even be quietly flattered! Just try not to worry, you haven't committed a crime.
