To think I did nothing wrong?

Friend introduced me to two of her friends around 6 years ago and we’ve done loads of things as a four since then, I’d consider them friends and not “friend of a friend”.

I had a spare ticket to a gig last week and I invited one of them as I didn’t want to go alone and I knew she liked that music.

Original friend has messaged to say she’s upset. She doesn’t even like the band (don’t think she dislikes them but) and said I should have asked her first.

@LonginesPrime

Thank-you. Exactly that.

That’s a little bit different though, @lemonsaretheonlyfruit : the length of your respective friendships is a bit of a red herring in your case; it’s more that you’re being left out of some fun opportunities when you it appears you’d need and appreciate it more. I can see that that would hurt, even if your friends aren’t doing anything “wrong”.

That's weird. You made friends with someone you met through her, now they are also your friend and you asked them to socialize with you. That's pretty normal.

Is your friend 5? Tell her to grow up 🙄

I can see why she’s upset to be honest, I think I would be.

Why?? Are you 5...? People can have other friends.

You did nothing wrong OP.

You've been friends with the woman you invited for 6 years.

Your original friend is just that, not your pimp!
