It it so so so sore.

I struggle to eat and I catch it when I talk.

Been having an incredibly stressful time lately and have a few in my mouth, but this one wins the award for the worst.

What the hell can I do with it? Bonjela is so painful when it goes on I could scream.

Thanks so much.
I had a big operation 10 days ago (shoulder replacement) so I'm definitely run down and it really isn't helping to have something else that hurts so much!

I've also found getting a toothpaste without sodium lauryl sulphate helps ulcers heal (as per NHS advice). Sensodyne doesn't have it in, not sure about others. Hope your dentist can help, good to get it checked and it sounds miserable.

Sympathy. Dd gets these when she's run down. They're miserable.

You might have some mouth trauma, dryness etc from the op which to me makes it less worrying than if this was out of the blue.

Hope the dentist is very helpful and you feel better soon.

Hi everyone
Back from the dentist. It's definitely an ulcer, as are the ones on my tongue and inside my mouth.

I am type 1 diabetic and as a precaution, he's given me amoxicillin and wants me to see my GP for blood tests for deficiencies etc.

The dentist said it could have been started because of the breathing equipment etc in my general anaesthetic!

Just want them to go away now

I had chemo ten days ago and my mouth and throat are full of ulcers. You have my sympathy OP.

Good you got checked out. Did they recommend anything to lessen the pain/reduce the inflammation in the meantime? If you are really struggling if they or your GP are able to prescribe a steroid mouthwash, it has been a gamechanger for me. Hope you are soon over the worst.

Glad you're having further investigations. I was going to suggest the GA/operation may have depleted your B12
